Guy Deletes An Entire Company By Accident

Apparently, this guy needs to recheck his dictionary to define the word 'MISTAKE' as it so happened that he deleted his ENTIRE company by entering 1 line of code which went berserk.

Marco Marsala has  a web hosting firm which he has been running successfully with a good hold of clientele.

It so happened that whilst giving a command to his computer to delete a few files using the famous rm-rf command which is used to delete selected target folders.

The command bypasses every firewall and all to do its one task.

ERASE.

But in Mr.Marsala's case, he has forgotten to specify the target folder which led to the command to run past everything and delete everything in its path.

When this happened, he took to the one and only help he can get.

The Internet.

when he posted his woes online, the experts at Server Fault, a Server Expert forum, he was asked if a backup was present but unfortunately, the accident happened when the backup drives were mounted onto the systems to be backed up.

One user explained to him that he just NUKED his entire firm where as another person said 'You now do not need an expert. You need a lawyer'

Mr.Marsala just killed his entire company and there are no remains anywhere about his company.

We might have heard of tales where spies delete stuff with a simple button device James Bond style or tales where a single spell(*Cough Avada Kedavra *Cough) can kill.

All in all, all we can do now is to pity the man and hope for the best.
