After the recent Google I/O conference that brought a new and highly innovative tech around the globe, Google also announced their another Project named as "Project Ara".It is the codename for a smart phone which seems more like a phone packed with modules .Those modules can be of the owner's choice. That means their modules are designed in many colors according to the pick of its owner. That phone looks like a bunch of colored and modified domino's with a camera and battery..but its not.

.Project Ara smartphone is scheduled to begin pilot testing in the United States in 2016 with a target bill of materials cost of $50 for a basic grey phone. The project was originally headed by the Advanced Technology and Projects team within Motorola Mobility while it was a subsidiary of Google. Although Google has since divested Motorola to Lenovo, it retained the Advanced Technology and Projects group—which has since worked under the direction of the Android division. The project has since been separated from ATAP and became its own division in Google.

When it comes to the Hardware specifications..Those Modules can provide common smartphone features, such as cameras and speakers, but can also provide more specialized features, such as medical devices, receipt printers, laser pointers, pico projectors, night vision sensors, or game controller buttons. Each slot on the frame will accept any module of the correct size. The front slots are of various heights and take up the whole width of the frame. The rear slots come in standard sizes of 1×1, 1×2 and 2×2. Modules can be hot-swapped without turning the phone off.The frame also includes a small backup battery so the main battery can be hot-swapped. Modules were originally to be secured with electropermanent magnets, but according to the team a new, better solution has been developed. The enclosures of the modules were planned to be 3D-printed, but due to the lack of development in the technology Google opted instead for a customizable molded case. Modules will be available both at an official Google store and at third-party stores. Ara Smartphones will only accept official modules by default, but users can change a software setting to enable unofficial modules. This is similar to how Android handles app installations.

"Hey Priyanka, have you finished the project? There is just a week to go." This is a nerd student mentality.

"Joke..I will finish it a night before submission." This is a usual student' s answer. And these outnumber the nerds.

Have you seen the movie Zootopia? I have accompanied my parents to that . When the sloth appears, they said "Kabhie kabhie hamare bachche bhi aise hi karte hain"!

My situation is no different. But the procrastination has speedily occupied it's place in all spheres of my life. My project is yet to be completed and the deadline is approaching soon.

My 4 year old neighbour is telling everyone there is a big christmas tree in Akka's room. Turns out he saw the over-flowing Laundry bag which has almost reached the ceiling.

"Could you please fold your washed clothes and keep it in the cupboard?..Your chairdrobes are full now, I will send you to sasuraal along with these clothes this year. Enough I am putting up with!", Mom says occasionally.

Only because of my laziness I know how sweet my friends are. During one of those lazy times my friends visited my room, they removed the clothes from chairdrobes to sit.

They ended up stuffing the clothes into wardrobe to make my room look neat. But when I open my wardrobe, all the clothes fall as a heap..Must ask them to keep things organized.
What did I do when they cleared my room? I lazily listen to foot tapping music.

That is the greatest advantage one can get out of being lazy. It shows how much my friends love me. They helped me as my family was blaming me. I shall return the favour when they are going through their lazy phase. We are friends for life :-).

The word "Local" is pronounced with pride in other countries. Why don't we follow the suit?

Local food from native soil is known be more nutritious, healthy and suitable than fancy frozen foods which are imported from thousands of miles away.

Let's see our local product today. It is a part of my diet and I so love it. Instead of getting scolded by our concerned parents about eating junk food, let's use this healthy alternative.

Years ago a magazine mentioned Kareena Kapoor's beauty secret as Fried lotus seeds and food cooked in olive oil. Then we kids never heard of Lotus seeds. We thought it might be an exotic ingredieent available only to the rich.

Today Lotus seeds, Phool Makhani or Fox Nuts are found in the shelves of every super market.

What are these? Why are they being considered a healthy alternative to snacks filled with calories?
These are Sundried , puffed Lotus seeds.

My friend's dad forced her to attend a workshop in an ashram. She came back after a month, she learnt basics of Spanish from her ashram mates. Smart girl. Learnt something from what she didn't like .

Why should we learn foreign languages?

As a fresher you can always be in an advantageous position while job hunting. Employers give preference to a fresher fluent in more languages, preferably one foreign language. A guy was posted in Poland as he was well versed with Polish. He learnt it through the web out of interest. Unexpectedly he is now living in the country he dreamt of.

Learning foreign language can open the lucrative opportunity of Teaching too. Often Foreign language teachers travel to other countries to attend seminars and enhance their skills.

Students who are fond of volunteering can gain an advantage of serving in foreign countries if they know the language. Working abroad is a plus point in the field.
