I'm just as bored as you are about this topic but apparently people still need to be told that resolutions do not matter as much as their resolve to fix and become a better version of themselves does. The key to keeping your resolutions is not waiting for the new year to roll by, but starting right NOW. Do it, wanted to ask that cute person out? Do it now! Planning on getting fit? Start NOW! Do not wait, do not think, 'oh I have time, I'll just do it from January 1st', no, screw that. Laugh at people who say keeping resolutions is easy: <\/b> <\/p>I'm serious, point at their face and laugh till your stomach hurts. No, keeping your resolutions is not easy. It is a long and difficult path that requires tremendous amount of dedication that no amount of self-help books, videos, music or family's support is going to help. It's worth it because it is difficult to achieve. <\/b> <\/p>If getting fit, quitting the cigarette, learning a new craft or fulfilling your dreams was easy, everyone would be doing it and then there would be no value to what you're doing. Do it for yourself. <\/b> <\/p>The most crucial part of understanding and keeping your resolutions is that you have to understand, completely and unequivocally, that you're doing this for yourself and nobody else. Self-improvement has 'self' in it because you're the one that is improving and nobody else. Even if you're the least selfish person in the world, there is absolutely nothing wrong in being selfish about improving yourself. This will require tremendous lifestyle changes which you will be willing to go through with if you are selfish about improving your own life. No more night outs with friends, because you're hitting the gym in the morning. No drinking till you pass out, you've got a liver to take care of. So climb back out of that pit and keep going you champ, because you can do it.
