We have always been studying in our books that we need to reduce the pollution using the green energy.

But we have never seen its implementation.

But wait, now we can see this implementation in the European countries.

Well yes, you heard it right, European countries are ahead in taking revolutionary steps in reducing the pollution in their countries.

One of the European countries, Norway has just announced that the country is going to ban the vehicles using fossil fuels in 2025.

13-year-old Meera Vashista, who is a seventh-grader in Sartartia Middle School in Sugar Land was born and brought up in the United States Of America, while she was working on a science project in her school in Texas last year, she first heard about the Indian government's movement to substitute each of the 77 crores existing bulbs with power saving light-emitting diode (LED) ones.

Since then, she started thinking hard on how could government support the underprivileged by replacing their incandescent bulbs with LED lamps that are over seven times as expensive!

"I thought this is something I could help with. And it's then I had this eureka moment," Says Meera

She then started drafting a letter which she sent to random people in her family phone book. The letter explained the government's objective of reducing greenhouse gases as well as taking electricity to the poorest villages in India.

The letter was almost a request for donations, that would allow her to distribute LED bulbs on her visit to India. "Electricity is empowerment. In rural areas, it helps kids study after dusk, it helps ease the workload of people, it improves agricultural output," she explained to her potential donors.

Meera has collected almost $2,079, or Rs 1.4 lakh, with this she would be able to buy and distribute about 1,600 LED bulbs on her India visit early next month. "I sent letters on a wing and a prayer. What shocked me the most was when I received my first cheque," she says. "Yes, we have sent Meera a confirmation. The young girl will buy LED bulbs with the funds that she has collected and distributed those among the needy in Delhi. 11.7 crore bulbs have already been displaced with LED, with the government holding to the deadline of March 2019 to make India a fully LED lamp nation.

"The event (with Meera) in Delhi will be organised with the aim of spreading awareness regarding energy efficiency, and also to motivate more children to come forward and replicate such noble initiatives," says a Union power ministry spokesperson.

Born to a Punjabi father and Kashmiri mother, Meera says she frequently has India on her mind — its people, the hustle and bustle in the bazaars, festivals, her ancestral home in Punjab and, above all, the "feeling of belonging and the smiles from everyone".

"Four years of B.Tech, then MS in The US - employment comes calling." Such a familiar tune. The average Indian student is expected to go abroad and get a degree, some are even looked down upon if they don't. In today's world one might wonder if Donald Trump is relevant. More so, for an Indian - Engineering Student. The answer to both those questions is yes. Unless one is graduating from a 'reputed' Engineering college, the chances of getting hired by a top company (most of which are headquartered in the US) is bleak. For students in the lower rung of colleges, MS seems like an antidote which will fix the unemployment problem. Donald Trump, who is widely seen as xenophobic, because of his anti-immigrant rhetoric - might be a scary figure for an Indian student. The question is should you be afraid. The answer is No. A country is never run by a single leader, rules cannot be changed according their diktats alone. Even the Republican Party, which Trump belongs to has on several occasions distanced itself from his remarks. Is the Donald a madman? Of course not. He definitely has his concerns. Although it wouldn't hurt to give them a better voice.

It is my personal opinion that one should work for the development of one's own country. But when jobs are scarce, one has no alternative but to look for greener pastures. "“They are taking our jobs. China is taking our jobs. Japan is taking our jobs. India is taking our jobs. It is not going to happen anymore, folks!” Mr Trump says. The validity of that statement can be debated. Yet, what is important is that as Indians, we don't become enslaved to the idea of living the American dream. I am by no means suggesting that you should not fulfill your ambitions of making a living elsewhere. If going abroad is what you dream for, work hard to achieve it. Donald Trump cannot stop you.

Make India great again.

With best wishes, Nishan Sampreeth Chilkuri.
"}]

Ethics or human values as we all were taught as kids, talked about basic principles like honesty, generosity, kindness and other virtues. We were and still are taught that one must imbibe such values to become a virtuous person and an embodiment of values.

But if you talk about ethics in today's culture where everything is wireless, faster, busier you will undoubtedly get written off for being lame and uncool because ethics today doesn't matter to many. And that's exactly a big problem for our nation.

We are the future. The Gen X that we are, pave way for a transformation in almost every aspect be it our culture, our traditions, our technology, our society. We are set to and have bought tremendous change. So why is ethics suddenly a matter of issue? Because one thing that remains constant is -emotions.

We could be clones and still prefer them to have feelings or we get fascinated if we hear of a robot with feelings. Why? Because every human experiences emotions and its what keeps us connected and reminds us that we are human beings. Human beings can withstand pain, hatred, discrimination to an extent but finally it will lead to a huge outburst of revenge. Yes it just takes to hurt someone for real long to drive their minds to destroy humanity at some scale.

Now where did it all go wrong? When you forgot to say thank you to that friend who always does favours for you, or when you look down upon you're help at home and treat them without respect. Or when you condemn and humiliate people who are differently abled in some form just to entertain yourself and others.

But do realise who is affected by your unethical actions. They might be the sorry victim of your misbehavior but the tables certainly turn when people forget to forgive. Lets remind ourselves that being kind and nice to people no matter what their status is, won't cost you anything in this commercial world.

Throwing light on many incidents that have occured recently like the Orlando shooting, US Prez elections where we have heard about candidates like Trump, and closer home the everyday drama we hear of our embarrassing politicians its time we changed our view on ethics.

As we head towards a modern era we have to change our mannerisms, attitudes and mindset because the world is more than just about money and fame. Words like equality, freedom, peace resound from every corner of our world. And our attitude decides if we can achieve all that or not. If we realise how important ethics is, our roads would be steady and clean, we would have queues where they need to be, our hospitals would be hygienic, our transport system would be effective and many more boons will follow. And for all this, you just need to be way more ethical than the average indian mindset that believes in the infamous " chaltha hai" attitude.

Do think about it 'cause we all are guilty of being unethical at some point and we can change that if we spend time on introspecting ourselves.

So Good luck and Cheers! Go be good and let the world be a better place to live :)
