Everyone on the earth has their own mindset. We'll see different people with different minds in our surroundings. If we ask 3 people to define 10 arithmetically one may answer is as 5+5,one may answer it as 2*5 and last one may answer it as 6+4 or etc. So,people should not judge others choice,mindsets,decisions and etc. It's okay to be different. People always try to point out avoidable mistakes,flaws,negatives and etc,this is nothing but the bloody Indian psychology. If you go to a fruit juice along with your friends everyone chooses their own flavor,everyone's choice will not be same. Likewise the students have their own talents,parents and well wishers should not rub their decisions/dreams on children. Everyone has their own introspection and retrospection. 

Every mind knows its capability and chooses a particular goal/target.

Everyone has their own talent,there is no need of judgement because one can't do another person's job/activity and viceversa.
