Article on Chandrayaan 2

Chandrayaan 2 is an Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) mission comprising an orbiter and a soft lander carrying a rover scheduled to launch to the Moon in July 2019. The primary objective of Chandrayaan 2 is to demonstrate the ability to soft-land on the lunar surface and operate a robotic rover on the surface. Scientific goals include studies of lunar topography, mineralogy, elemental abundance, the lunar exosphere, and signatures of hydroxyl and water ice.

Spacecraft and Subsystems📡🎛

The Chandrayaan 2 orbiter is a box-shaped craft with an orbital mass of 2379 kg and solar arrays capable of generating 1000 W power. The orbiter communicates with the Indian Deep Space Network and the lander. The orbiter will have a scientific payload comprising a visible terrain mapping camera, a neutral mass spectrometer, a synthetic aperture radar, a near infrared spectrometer, a radio occultation experiment, a soft X-ray spectrometer and solar X-ray monitor.

The lander, named" Vikram", has a mass of 1471 kg (including the rover), and can generate 650 W of solar power. The lander can communicate directly to the Indian Deep Space Network, the orbiter, and the rover. The lander will carry a camera, seismometer, thermal profiler, Langmuir probe, and a NASA-supplied laser retroreflector.

The rover, Pragyan (also Pragyaan), is a 6-wheeled vehicle with a mass of 27 kg that runs on 50 W of solar power and can travel up to 500 m at a speed of 1 cm per second. The rover communicates directly with the lander. the rover will hold cameras, alpha-proton X-ray spectrometer, and a laser-induced ablation spectroscopy experiment.

Mission Profile👨‍🚀

Chandrayaan 2 was launched on 22 July 2019 at 9:13 UT (2:43 p.m. Indian Standard Time) from Satish Dhawan Space Center on Sriharikota Island on an ISRO Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) Mark III. The lander-orbiter pair went into an initial elliptical (170 x 40400 km altitude) Earth parking orbit, followed by a trans-lunar injection on 14 August. The pair entered lunar polar orbit on 20 August. The lander and orbiter separated on September 2. The orbiter evolves into a 100 km altitude circular polar orbit and the Vikram lander maneuvered into a 30 x 100 km orbit with a plan to land on the surface in the high latitude areas near the south pole, between two craters, Manzinus C and Simpelius N, on 7 September between about 1:30 and 2:30 a.m. Indian local time (Sept. 6, 20:00-21:00 UT). contact was lost during the descent at an altitude of about 2.1 km, the data are being analyzed. The orbiter portion of the mission is planned to last 1 year. The rover was to be deployed using a ramp shortly after landing. The lander and rover portions of the mission were planned for 14-15 days, one period of lunar days

txt
It is shocking to know that India has the highest suicide rate in Southeast Asia. On this world suicide prevention day, I would like to share a story of my friend which tells us suicide is not a solution to a problem.

When our 10th exams are going to be within 2 months, my friend lost her parents in an accident. She was smart and intelligent. Due to depression, she didn’t write her exams well consequently, she failed. She didn’t clear it for the next two attempts. In that depression, she tried for a suicide attempt. Fortunately; she was been saved. When her grandparents, in-laws, cousins, friend cried at her hospital bed she realized how people gets affected when she is no more Suicide is not a solution to a problem, problems can be solved when we share them with our people, and they can be solved by working upon them. Now, she is doing a fashion designing course in Bangalore within no time she will be a fashion designer and will earn double or triple than what we earn.

If we die, it is not that we are going to be remembered by people, it’s our deeds that are going to be remembered by people. Life is too short. As every coin has two sides, life has problems as well as pleasures. It is meaningless if we take only pleasures but not problems. So don’t quit your life for stupid silly problems. Life is all about fighting with the problems, learning, teaching and going ahead.
"}]
Nothing comes easy is this world. Happiness doesn't, it takes efforts from multiple forces. Sadness doesn't, it takes efforts from multiple forces to go in vain. Neither is grief or joy, nor does success come and definitely not failure. How much you give is how much you get. Nevermind the favourableness of it. Then just imagine how much pain would they have gotten to be leaving the people around them in such pain. Imagine how they thought a blade ripping their veins was easier than dealing with their demons. Or imagine how they thought that their life was constricted than the 11lbs pressure the rope put on the lungs to suffocate the breath of life out of them. Or how bitter their tears tasted that they had chosen to swallow something that led them to their mortal end.

Are they supposed to be called cowards? I had a chill run through my spine just by writing the above. I wouldn't imagine how a person's hand shivered or his palms sweat when he was about to take his life. Cowardice is not the word to describe this.

They are called people who have taken the easy way out, or a hasty decision. Easy way? With a livable life and the people they care about, why would they deprive themselves of those? And how is that easy? Almost everybody in this world cares about someone. Could be one ownself too. It isn't easy for who loves their ownself to kill themself either. So how easy would it be to rob those people of himself. And leave without a thought? Is that even possible? I don't think so.

Hasty decisions, lack of perspective. These are various other ways popularly used to describe the stint. Perspective is a very personal thing, it is a person's personal magnifying glass. Earth we live on is a tiny speck in the Space. But for you it is 510.1 million km². And just the same, his demons might be the size of Jupiter, you never know.

Suicide, the word carries weight in it. It isn't an act, it is a condition. The final and incurable stage is intentionally induced death. And it isn't really easy to live with this condition in this world. It is a cruel place, and oh, the times it would encourage you to finish the act is uncountable. It goes without saying that, there has to be SO much support for a person to make it out of it unscathed. Misconceptions like just by treating the reason of such a tendency would be enough. The science has developed to acknowledge behavioral diseases and so have the diseases that have tricky causes. It could be easily established that making out of it is a great success in itself. But... does it scar them forever? Do they have a notice on their head for the rest of their mortal days that they had tried to limit them? Would that make life better than before when you'd actually wanted it to happen?

In short, how are we preventing a relapse in such cases? There's so much going on about prevention, that's a good thing. What if it had already happened? And better yet, got saved from it. Now what? Ever thought of how the life would be? Would they be able to pick from where they dropped? Is it possible to live the old life? No, infact they attempt it again. A lot do.

How do we treat someone when we know they have attempted suicide? Answer within yourself while I provide a few answers. Sympathetic, wary, apologetic, scared, dismissive, annoyed and angry even. For once, imagine, they had been probably saved against their will but at that moment they were trying to live. And would any of such reactions help them in that? No, they discourage them. Is that the support that we talk about? Is that why we have so much hype about prevention? Prevention is always better than cure, and this means curing is next best thing to do. So cure people, don't strip them off the support they cave in for. A mistake is a mistake, but that shouldn't make others be labelled as mistakes. They have been given hope, keep it alive.

After all, killing one's ownself takes a LOT of courage. But living takes a LOT MORE courage. Help them in finding it

txt

According to some statistics, on average, a student commits suicide in India every 55 minutes. In most cases, it is because of the education system that makes a teenager think that a number on a piece of paper is enough to decide whether the person should live or die. In other cases, it is usually the ending of a relationship that drives students towards taking the extreme step. On World Suicide Prevention Day, I spoke to psychologist Preneeja Peelukhana on why youngsters feel there's no way out and what is it that can be done.

txt
rich_1568113443815

According to her, if a youngster lacks problem solving aptitude, they tend to lean towards ending their lives instead of trying to get a solution. This is usually because of low self confidence, lack of a support system, fear of disappointing their parents, fear of authoritative parents or a combination of those. "In the hundreds of suicidal cases that I have handled, I noticed that even in situations where parents are supportive, the child tends to feel that if he/she fails in an exam, he/she is disappointing their parents," says Preneeja, adding, "That feeling in conjunction with low self confidence can often drive a person towards ending their life."

But what can be done by the person themselves, to this, Preneeja says, "I always hated math but one thing that I really loved about math is the fact that even though that fat ugly textbook has a lot of problems in it, every problem has a solution. If youngsters can keep this in mind, half the problem is solved. The solution to their problem lies in breaking down the problem into parts and prioritising on what has to be done at the moment. For example, if a student failed in a subject, then instead of worrying about the topics he/she doesn't know, they can thoroughly finish off the topics they know first and then get onto the other topics in that subject. In a blunt way, this at least takes away the fear of failing and boosts confidence."

Another analogy that she draws to a math textbook is how we as children, asked friends, parents, teachers or anyone else to explain how the problem is solved. The same way, she says, "Youngsters should not hesitate to seek help. If you have a problem, reach out to anyone you trust."

txt
rich_1568113443816

While those are the things that a suicidal person can do, it is also important for all of us to notice subtle signs of change in our loved ones' behaviour. "When a person is suicidal, their behaviour can change. They might become more aggressive and irritable than usual. They might lock themselves up in their room most of the time. Substance abuse, overeating or not eating, not wanting to go anywhere, all these can be signs. If you notice someone doing any of these, the first thing you can do is to just ask them 'why' and also let them know that you are there for them," she says, adding, "Often, it is just letting the person know that you are there to listen that does the job. All a person wants is someone who will just listen without judging them. So be that person and you can save a life."
"}]
Suicide has always been a sensitive issue in our society and open conversations about it are not always welcomed. But the least we can do to prevent something as saddening as suicide is to start talking about it.

Suicidal thoughts strike, when a person gives up and considers death as the only solution that can put an end to all the problems that exist. A lot of issues in life can make us feel hopeless and low about ourselves but suicide is never a way out. It won’t solve any problem. It just leaves behind your mess for others to deal. Instead of creating a negative impact by taking a step like this, one should make a little more effort in getting through the struggle. Still if things seem out of control there’s no wrong in seeking help from someone.

There were a lot times when I couldn’t fight back against the things that put me down. Like, I was a chubby child and it was fun for my friends and adults to tease me for being that way. Referring me as teddy bear and other things of that sort didn’t bother me much but things like asking only my weight in front the whole class just to embarrass me which a teacher of mine did, used to hurt me a lot. This made me feel extremely conscious about my body. I didn’t participate in school dances and sports for a long time while all the other children did and it made me feel lonely and helpless. Nevertheless, I did not think that it was the end and started working on my self.

I come from a conservative family, restrictions and rules were way too many for me during my teenage as I’m a girl. The way I dressed, the friends I made, the way I behaved and talked was all controlled by my family. And whenever I fought against it, all I got was humiliation in front of my cousins and other family members. At that age, I felt locked up and clueless. I took my time to fight back again and constantly reminded my family by talking to them, about the way I wanted to be without any unnecessary restrictions. Till today, discussions go on but things are a lot better for me than earlier. I don't want a life that’s under someone’s control. And considering how strongly almost everyone in my family denied my freedom I could have easily given up. But I chose to hope for the better and kept fighting.

Turning point in a student’s life is the performance in competitive exams after 11th and 12th. You career gets decided for you with just a few multiple choice questions! My parents got my admission in a good college, expensive enough for an upper middle class family to afford but still they wanted me to get the best coaching to crack JEE. Expectations on me were high, and caused more stress than the exams that I had to clear. Despite the best resources I had, I couldn’t live up to anyone’s expectations and didn’t qualify the exams to get into IIT due to reasons like lack of practice or strategy or whatever..! It was demoralising and I doubted my own capabilities for a period of time because of this. Now, this is where most of the students are giving up and ending their lives. But out of my own experience I suggest students going through this kind of phase to take their time and figure things out eventually. This is what I’m doing. Career is your personal choice and it’s okay even if doesn’t meet others’ expectations as long as you are happy with it.

Problems and the way people choose to deal with them vary but suicide is definitely not the way. Today is suicide prevention day, do contribute your part in easing the conversations about this by sharing your own experiences.

"}]
Now let's have a discussion on heart and mind, which one is great?

Too much too little can throw us off balance. We put emphasis on one thing and soon forget that there is another world too. It’s not easy to snuggle both the worlds but it is very important to create a balance. It is similar to the balance that you create between your personal and professional life.

The more you reside in one world, the less you have remembrance of the other. Without the understanding of the balance, you may have money but you will always lack peace. Similarly, when you follow your heart but neglect the sound impulses of your mind, your life won’t be content. A mind in equilibrium is a mind at peace and a peaceful mind is the key to a successful life.

You need to learn when to run, when to stop, and when to simply walk.

We move towards the things we like and away from the things we don’t. Consciously or subconsciously, these polarities influence our decisions or behaviour. We behave nicely with the people we love and brutally with the ones we don’t care about.

But sometimes without our willingness, life throws us into situations that we have always tried to avoid. The journey of life has a multitude of emotions and experiences to offer. Some of these are good and some aren’t.

Training our mind to attain equilibrium towards all circumstances in life isn’t a cakewalk.

You must believe that your mind and your heart can walk on the same path together. " Listen to your heart and get involved with your mind....."

txt
A book is not just a part of our life but it has the power to change someone's life. A book never had any thing in it.It always remains blank until or unless we pour our thoughts in it. A book not always resembles a professional education other than that many books are filled with values, knowledge which are not there in educational books. How many of you agree that A book is our reflection? Yes its true but we don't believe it, let's try it.if someone has a great bonding and affection with book it always turns you as it. A book is a best friend who is always there when no one hears to you, and it always there with you when no one supports you and provides a full of new world with that blank papers which only you can turn it into beautiful world with full of creativity, and even filled with values, and that can only happens with you. when you write it, you feel it.when you feel it, you like it . when you like it ,you start loving it. And that love never makes you to stop writing. "That person is my best friend who gives me a book which I have not read " by Abraham Lincoln. Books always makes you to imagine , reading and writing books, is not just a hobby but it always helps to find your self. The memories which are stored in phone are always temporary but for a change let's write that memories in your book, After somedays when you read it , that not only reminds you of that memories but it again makes you to feel that moment. The people who read books are more knowledgable than the people who write books but the one who wrote books can become a inspiration for many thousands of people who want to become a writer and your writing can change anyone's life if you write it with love. There are many leaders who are inspired by many books and inspired many others by writing books. Like mahatma gandi and Dr. Abdul kalam. Dr. Kalam who wrote "wings of fire " Is one of the greatest milestones of India. It's not always true that only a brilliant student and rankholders love books but even who are failures in education can become a great writers if they are talented. So, many says present youngstars are future of a country ,but the present writers are future generation makers.

txt
