Let's suppose you just arrived in the USA, be it the fall semester or spring semester, and you have many things to take care of running through your head for the first few months. So here is a list of a few things you can do after arriving. We will discuss things you have to do immediately after landing to settle yourself in the place you will be staying in the US.

After arriving, figure out a way to reach your destination, be it the room with your friends or dorm or the home of your acquaintance. Find a way, be it a cab or someone picking you up, so that you can reach your destination with all your luggage without much hassle.

And after reaching the destination, there will be many things to care of, be it unpacking, acquiring utilities or necessities or a few formalities.

The utilities such as electricity, wifi, and gas may be a hassle to find the optimal one but reaching out to your neighbours or enquiring about your seniors beforehand can come in handy. If you are sharing the room with friends who are already there can exempt you from this task, but if you and your friends are new there or just arrived it will be a necessary task. Everyone will share the expense but when together it will be manageable.

And after utilities come to the expenses and the expenses in the first month will be considerably more compared to other months. One must also consider the expenses of the mattress, bed frame, table and others if one is not going to use dorms. Let’s not forget the shopping one has to do.

Now all the necessities are completed for survival, coming to formalities one must visit the International Student Service where you have to upload a few documents as proof that you are physically present there.

As you have all the things you need but you also need credit cards and a bank account for your financial wellbeing. It is important to have a good credit score for many things in the future and many people in the US use cards instead of cash. But one needs Social Security Number to apply for any bank account or a credit card which can only be acquired when you have an on-campus job or a graduate assistantship. No need to worry if you don't have them as there are few banks where opening an account is possible with consent from the university or someone you know. And there are some credit cards which can be acquired without any SSN. But be sure to open an account in the bank near your university so, it can be easily accessible.

So, these are some of the tips that I came across in my research hope it’s helpful.

"}]
Hello folks! Stumagz is back with another article from GITAM vizag. Before we get into the information about the piece. A littlllee bit of a headstart, people who are interested in startups, permanently hooked up watching ted talks and whatnot… Buckle up youuu this is definitely a piece of artwork if you will.

The Entrepreneur’s club at GITAM university is a place where all the nerd-heads, Whoop sorry… all the intellectuals have these startup ideas and unlike people like me, they actually do build their startup from scratch and participate in events, Ideathons, and basically showcasing their talents and make their notes from the time they procrastinated and manifested all the dreams true for real. Guys that actually takes a lot of guts doesn't it??
So, for all the junior entrepreneurs out there, GITAM University has this series of events that take place every year called the OPEN PITCH DAY SERIES which is what you guys are reading right now.

Students who enrolled in the E-Club have this startup idea with a whole team called the RSG which is short for Ready-Set-Go. Which segregated the startup into three big segments. The ready stage is for the pre-incubating startup ideas or which in a less confusing way means the ready state. A vague idea of getting ready and setting it all up for a future business. The second stage is the set stage where the startup is being worked on with a few assignments, and experimenting on stuff, testing if their idea is actually working. And the last and final stage is called the go stage where at this point in time we all get jealous and be like “ What on earth are we doing in life?” Because the same people who just and a vague idea about a startup and were all doubtful about themselves end up having a full pledged earning startup which actually will be out on the market as well.

The OPD series was a bang last year and the E-Club has just hosted the series this year on the 7th of September where all these people from RSG gave a pitch about their idea and mentors from the Venture Development Centre give their feedback on their RSG progress. Here is where the audience has the most fun. Mostly Psychopaths but yeah… seeing the people burst into flames before giving their pitch, getting all tensed up. But all the jokes apart it is no cap that freshers, final years from all over the college are collected under one roof building up their dreams. I bet you will be having all of these ideas and notes that you’ll be filling in tonight. And i also bet you won’t be remembering where you put that book. Okay before you realllllllly get offended these are a few pictures of the people at the OPD event.

I definitely had fun hearing these itches. You will have no idea how the process of this event starts from an SOS emergency device to prevent accidents to a pitch that has a QR code that avoids much consumption of student academic time. I’m so excited to be a part of this journey and I wish you could too. And oh! Even with people who might not have an RSG running, people are always welcome to present their idea. So that's all about this week’s article guys. Gotta go and write notes on starting a business someday and be on a ted talk. Which reminds me of rehearsing my Ted- talk speech. Will fill you in about that too lol… You have no idea what’s in store for the next article but neither do I. But I promise it's definitely something fun to give a read. See you, peeps!
"}]
Well, you got your passport, selected your college, cleared your visa interview, and are all set to fly out to the US for your master's. So here are a few things you can consider before booking a flight ticket or starting to pan out everything you want to do before taking the flight. And also some things to help after arriving at the airport, because you will want everything in hand after an exhausting journey.

I may sound hypocritical, but try to spend as much time as you can with your family, friends and everyone you are leaving behind whom you may miss. Because after the enthusiasm of starting days dries out, you will get a dose of homesickness. So use this available time to make up for the future. Secondly, try to learn cooking or get a hands-on experience with the dishes you like and are easy to make with the ingredients you and get your hand on after settling there. Because it is hard to cook, even though it may look easy-peasy, you will only get wasted when you try it for the first time.

As we are on the subject of the things to do before going to the US, let me advise you on something it's best if you have a driver’s license from here. As it helps get learners there, if you have an international driving licence, it’s well and good. And if possible, get a dental and eye check-up because to get a dental check-up in the states is a luxury.

From here on are the things for you to consider if the day of your flight is a few days away and you start packing.
First and foremost, when shopping, don’t buy out many clothes because they will just become more luggage and you can get those in the states anyway.

You can carry small vessels and knives to use during your stay, but you can also buy them there, so it’s best to carry only essentials. And pack as many medicines as possible, which you easy here like for headaches, stomachaches, migraine or sinus, you will not know when you have to sue them.

Pack spare copies of documents with you as many as possible, which can be useful when you go there. Also, note down emergency contacts and address you have about your contact in the states where it is easily assessable for you. And it is advised for the persons coming to the states to know the directions to their first destination after their arrival.

Finally, consider it most important if you think, plan your finances. Ask someone you know at the place you are going about the expenses in the first few months. Your fees, rent, and the expenses you will have during the first month, as one will have more expenses in the first month compared to later, plan and note down everything so it can be transferred at once. Instead of repeated transfers whenever the need arises as you will be charged every time.

So, these are a few tips I got from my friends and family members and hope it’s helpful. Have a good time when you go for your master's from day one.

"}]
1) Binary Search

Binary Search is one of the first things taught in any Computer Science class. It is perhaps the most straightforward example of how a bit of ingenuity can make things, quite literally, exponentially more efficient.

Few of the most common implementations of binary search are:

*Find the number of rotations in a circularly sorted array.

*Search an element in a circularly sorted array.

*Find the first or last occurrence of a given number in a sorted array.

*Count occurrences of a number in a sorted array with duplicates.

2) Selection, Bubble, and Insertion sort

Sorting algorithms are the most fundamental tools that a developer should have in their arsenal. Selection, bubble, and insertion sort are some of the first that new developers should work through.

Few of the most Common Implementations are:

* Sort elements by frequency

* Sort array by increasing frequency

* GCD sort of an array

* Minimum replacements to sort array

3) Merge Sort and Quick Sort

Sorting algorithms are great for getting comfortable with arrays, but quick sort and merge sort are efficient enough to be used in serious applications. Being comfortable implementing these sorting algorithms is essential to being a serious developer.

Few of the most Common Implementations are:

*Inversion Count

*Count of smaller numbers after self

*Quicksort Partition

*Count sorted vowel string

4) Huffman Coding

Huffman coding is the foundation of modern text comparison. It works by considering how often different characters appear in a text and organizes them in a tree based on this frequency.

It is used for conventional compression formats like GZIP, BZIP2, PKZIP, etc.

5) Breath First Search

Breath first search works by exploring a tree level by level until the target node is found. Since it literally goes through every level it is guaranteed to find a solution.

Few of the most Common Implementations are:

*Check if a graph is strongly connected or not

*Shortest path in a maze

*Count number of Islands

*Find the shortest safe route in a field with sensors present

6) Depth First Search

Depth first search is the other main approach for finding an element in a tree. Instead of working down the tree level by level, it explores the tree branch by branch.

Few of the most Common Implementations are:

* Detect cycle in an undirected graph

* Longest path between any pair of vertices

* Print all path from a given source to a destination

* Maximum product of two non- intersecting paths in a tree

7) Dijkstra’s Algorithm

Dijkstra’s algorithm is a way of finding the quickest path between two nodes in a graph. It is the foundation of most word done in path finding and finds itself used in anything from artificial intelligence to game design.

* Path with maximum probability

* Path with minimum effort

* Cheapest flights with k paths

* minimum path sum

8) Diffie - Hellman Key Exchange

The Diffie Hellman key exchange is a great introduction to how cryptography tends to work. More specifically, a Diffie- Hellman Key exchange works by combining public and private keys to encrypt information.

These are a few of the most important and must know data Structures and Algorithms that every programmer must know and should focus on.
"}]

Engineers start thinking out of the box when they come across new technologies where amazing ideas generate, which make the world move fast and further. Most of the parents don't want a girl child.

THEY WILL KILL HER, IF IT'S A GIRL.

A girl child comes into this world with just as many expectations, dreams and aspiration as a boy but soon

finds out that her way towards achieving that is much more challenging.

she aims high but her wings are cut by the ruthlessly unjust gender bias that our society is ridden with. starting from something as basic as her right to be born, she has to fight a battle all her life and struggle for the most fundamental needs, for freedom, for equal opportunity, for making her voice heard.

As a child she is taught to obey, follow the societal rules and stop dreaming. When she is little older, a suitable match is found and she is sent off to her family where her husband and her in laws lay down another set of rules.
