Travelling is something that I love. Its a necessity for me-a need to take refuge from the routine. I do travel a lot. We (my family and I )go out of town to visit different places almost every break I get. Thanks to my Dad. He loves travelling too(this made me wonder if my interest to travel runs in my genes). It so happened that this summer, we decided to go to the States to visit my aunt(my mother's sister) and surprise my brother on his sixteenth birthday. It was a long journey- almost a day and a half to travel. It was a hustle. Finally, we made it and celebrated my brother's birthday. Later that night, the men of the family that is, my grandpa, dad and uncle were discussing something very seriously. Me being a very curious person eavesdrops them. The next moment, I was squealing and jumping around just like a five-year-old girl does when she gets the biggest barbie doll for her birthday. I mean who wouldn't when you get to know that a couple of things will be scratched from the to-do listWell, the news was that we were going on a cruise to Cozumel! A few days later, after a lot of shopping, we were on the Cruise. Finally!!!! The cruise was on point. There was delicious food which included Italian, Chinese, Mexican, Indian, Lebanese and Continental food. There were activities like karaoke nights, stand up comedy, dance to the song and bingo house. The facilities were great. There was a spa, a gym a salon, a casino, a couple of bars, a pub, a movie theatre and a giant swimming pool. Well, I was pampering myself by the swimming pool under the sun with a virgin pina colada most of the time. Two days later, we docked at Puerta Maya in Cozumel which is a gorgeous island on the Carribean sea towards the East Coast of Mexico. It is well known for scuba diving, cheap liquor(they were literally serving free shots of tequila by the stores on the port:)) and Mayan Culture. I was then allowed to explore the beauty around me. Imagine the sea as blue as the sky perfectly with a bunch of stores in hues of yellow and red with hints of green. It was aesthetic. These stores had a lot of artefacts, accessories and a bunch of clothes reflecting the Mayan culture.

After I while came across a stall with a board containing a list of water sports. One word caught my eyes -scuba diving. Immediately, I bolted towards the cruise and dragged my dad, along with my cousins towards the stall.

My Dad was not happy about sending me to scuba diving as I wasn't a great swimmer(according to him). Hence, I took up snorkelling, considering the fact that something is better than nothing. Well, I also got the chance to parasail as compensation for scuba diving.

I squeezed into the life vest, fixed my snorkel and walked to the beach along with my cousins and Dane, our lifeguard (super sweet person to talk to).

We all started swimming away from the shore, almost to the depth of 15 feet of the sea. That's when we noticed shoals of silverfish swimming across the reef, few hydrillas, angelfish and a couple of seashells. It was the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen.

Twenty minutes later, we were on a powerboat and moving towards the ocean. Two kilometres away from the shore, the boat was stopped.

I was secured to the parachute and was suddenly, launched into the sky. Initially, I was frightened but once it stopped in the middle of the sky. All I could hear was the gushing waves, the faint rumble of the power and my breath. I could feel the sun kissing my skin. I could see the burning sun trying to hid behind the clouds and the sky touching the ocean. One of the best moments ever.

Sadly, we had to go back to the cruise to undock and start our return journey but I was content about the fact that I'll be carrying one of the best memories with me

Peace and freedoms- that's what I got to experience in Cozumel to the fullest.

To travel is to live, explore who we are, not just the place we go. It is an opportunity to escape the boring routine that we all have. It ignites your soul which helps us stay fresh and start brightly.

All I want to say is travel-as much as you are can as far as you can and as long as you can.

Eid- ul- Adha or most commonly known as Bakra Eid is a festival largely celebrated by Muslims. It is not just like any other festival because it has a much deeper meaning as it speaks of faith one has in god. It shows how much faith prophet Ibrahim has in the god that he took his son to sacrifice without once questioning god's decision. And he was rewarded when instead of his son a sheep was sacrificed and his son was sitting beside him without a scratch on him. The son was not any less brave because when his father was losing the courage to do what he had to do he asked his father to tie a cloth around his eyes so he wouldn't be afraid of doing what has to done and given that he was doing this on god's orders the god himself would protect him. This shows the amount of faith a kid has in god and he lived to telltale. This day is celebrated to acknowledge the hardships the father and son had to go through and how their faith was rewarded.

But most importantly it brings all of the family together and as the name has already suggested it is about the sacrifice of sheep. The auspicious day of Eid the whole family wake up early in the morning and go to Eidgah or mosque to pray. Then the males go for the sacrifice of sheep and then begin the best part of the day where the whole family gets together for breakfast. The starts the actual work where the sacrificed meat has to be distributed among nearly everyone you know while family and friends are joining you for lunch and dinner. Did I forget to mention the best part when it comes to kids as they get gifts or money on eid. Photography is familiar enough for all of us only to the extent where we put it into an 'upload-worthy/not' box. Like many aspiring photographers, Randeep from our college believes in using the camera to capture the life out of a moment.

Being interested in photography since his 8th grade, he used to experiment on different subjects by clicking their landscapes using a basic mobile. His self esteem had gotten an instant boost when his friends and family had praised him for the pictures that he had clicked when they all had been on a trip to a nearby zoo. They had called him a 'professional' photographer.

"Clicking a picture is just the first step, we don't get sharp and hurdle free clicks while we're new in the craft thus we need to work on it post the photo sessions" says Randeep, who uses the Adobe Photoshop Lightroom to groom his pictures up. His work gear includes a Sony Alpha 58 DSLR and a Sony Alpha a5100 mirror-less camera.

His parents, particularly his father, had been very supportive of his inclination towards photography, reveals Randeep. He had bought his first professional camera at the age of 17 and ever since he's been trying a couple of things that were long overdue in his mind. Randeep takes the art of cinematography seriously now and has been trying to learn the basics of it through Youtube: from where he's developed his photography skill as well. He sees himself getting into the film industry someday to try his hand at things new to him like editing and direction.

Randeep says that he's realized through his grades that academics isn't going to help him much apart from being an alternative option when he would need one. The reason that he had picked engineering in the first place was the fear of not having an alternative option.

"The difficult part about being serious regarding photography is that, people use the automatic mode on a camera and call it professional photography but the real deal lies in being able to handle manual mode with the same precision" says Randeep when asked about how everyone seems to have a thing for 'professional photography' these days.

Jay Kay is a man whose work Randeep looks up to and admires. Jay Kay's recent work includes working as a DOP for the film Padi Padi Leche Manasu.

Upon being asked why does he choose to pursue photography as a serious profession despite knowing the slim chances of success, he says that loving what he does gives him the required confidence to positively work for it.
