It has become a necessity to step forward and make our world dirt free. Let us start with the small things. Cleanliness starts from us. But we always keep ourselves clean. Next is the place where we live that is our house. Without anyone’s sayings, we keep it clean. After houses comes the road. Let us step further from houses till our surrounding roads. Altruism is when we tend to elevate other people's well-being, even at a risk of costing our own lives. A bright example of being altruistic or selfless is mother's care about the child. It's truly selfless and beauty of the human lies in it. Selfishness as well as altruism are both potential tendencies in humans. Their meanings can be conflated to the point of overlap, but that doesn't change their starting points. When one encounters far too many selfish people or has a major encounter with evil, our mind tends to focus only on the behavior as 'human nature', and forgets everything from genuine affection to mechanical kindness, love, affection.
Altruism is probably unrealistic because it doesn't matter what we are going to get benefit from doing nice things to other people, even if we are not looking for a reward. In life, things happen around us, things happen to us, but the only thing that truly matters is how we choose to react to them and what we make out of it. Life is all about leaning, adopting and converting all the struggles that we experience into something positive. Here is a story regarding the struggles in our lives (most of know this).

Take a carrot, an egg and a spoon of coffee beans, also take three bowls with water and put those three in the bowls separately and boil them for a couple of minutes. Later, take them out and touch them with your hands, you will see that each one of them reacted differently. The carrot went in strong and hard before boiling, but in boiling water, it became soft and weak. The egg was fragile, with the thin outer shell protecting its liquid interior until it was put in the boiling water, then the inside of the egg became hard. However, the coffee beans were unique and after they were exposed to the boiling water, they changed the water and created something new. Here, the same water can make the fragile egg hardened and the hard carrot softened.

Are you a carrot, an egg, or a coffee bean?. May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human and enough hope to make you happy. The happiest of people don’t necessarily have the best of everything, they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.
So remember that, "it's not what happens but your reaction to it, that matters."

1529597869413
txt

Food has a unique significance in everyone’s life that varies person to person. Some people enjoy each bite of it, some just eat for the sake of eating & some people analyze the flavour of it. Further there is a personal choice within; traditional meals, snacks, desserts etc. Among all these, one which is liked by a majority is ‘Fast Food’ or ‘Junk Food’.

Junk foods are processed foods or deep fried foods generally made with refined flour and other fat-rich ingredients. These foods are prepared in a way that they look appealing, are enjoyable taste wise & have low nutritional value. But have you ever wondered why we get tempted towards junk food? Recently, scientists from Berlin conducted a research to explain that why we can’t keep ourselves away from junk food. Our body and brain have an effective mechanism to process information about consumption of food. The brain can identify 3 basic tastes: Fatty, Sweet & Salty. Whenever, we have food with these tastes, the neurotransmitters release signals of reward and pleasure that get stored in our memories associated with that food item. And they are released because of the flavour of the food and not its nutritional value.

1529592734364
txt

Foods rich in carbohydrates & fats have a strong influence on the brain’s reward system. And when carbohydrates & fats come together, the effect gets intensified.

The scientists took 40 volunteers to play a computer for food, which were high in fats, carbohydrates or both. To earn it, the subjects had to outbid the computer & thereby the willingness to pay was examined. Most of the money was offered for the high fat and high carbohydrate food indicating that it was apparently the most attractive to the participants of the study.

1529592734364
txt

Further, the scientists also concluded that once triggered by the fatty foods, the reward system overshadows sufficiency, resulting in over-saturation & obesity.

It all comes down to shows like Pitchers or Silicon Valley, or even books like 'Steve Jobs'. India has been officially bit by a startup bug. Right from success stories like Infosys which started way back in 1981 to the recent Flipkart Walmart deal, India has come a long way in terms of startup triumph stories. With the country being a hotspot for investments and much flexible policies and rules now, India looks forward to being a country churning out multiple unicorn startups in the future.

India has around 10 unicorns right now, or startups with a one billion valuation. With this being a significant milestone for the country, startups founders also need to be wary that this might not be the case forever. A profitable business model is always ideal for sustainability of the company. A huge funding round may give an initial push, but the only thing that matters is how well and profitably you use that money. This is not all difficult in a country like India with such a diverse and huge population. Founders need to find solutions in order to bring the next million customers under their hold without those dreamy discounts and offers. The job is already half done when that goal is achieved.

Starting up one's own company has become a trend these days. Though beneficial in the long run, one needs to be aware of the fact that almost 90% of startups in India fail. Money should never be a fuel to kick start your startup career, whereas it should be the zeal and passion to solve a problem for the better. With India facing so many problems , startups of varied kinds should step up and take the reigns. India ranks at around 4th place in the world in terms of the number of startups. If Indian entrepreneurs take it easy and do it right, India might just become the country with the highest number of 'successful' startups.

"The soul of India lives in its villages," said by M. K. Gandhi at the beginning of 20th century. The life in Indian villages is simple and isolated. I guess we all are well known about the fact that the Indian villages lack with basic health care and medical facilities. More than 50 to 60 percent of village people have to run to native cities for medication regarding small things such as blood pressure, fever etc. Same applies with education too. Sanitation & water supply is another important issue.

Rajghat, a village in Dholpur which is so removed from modern day India lies fifty kilometres off the Taj Mahal, on the border that separates Madhya Pradesh from Rajasthan falls under the basin of the famous River 'Chambal'. Although they are connected now-a-days with cell phones and digital television transmission, yet they are cut off from the main stream of urban areas due to poor road connectivity and electricity. The health, educational and civil facilities are also either absent or not up to the mark. In the hustle-bustle of city life, it is very hard to pay attention towards someone who are in need of help. But despite all their daily struggles, there are some people who turn out as super heroes by helping other people. The vibrant 22 years old MBBS student named ASHWANI PARASHAR from Dholpur who belongs to a middle-class family believes that doing good to society means doing good to ourselves and initiated a campaign called #SaveRajghat to bring hope in the lives of people residing in Rajghat village.

Ashwani Parashar was amazed to see a transition in the lives of the villagers. The villagers who accepted the fact that there is nothing to look forward and now had hope with this young boy’s initiative. He is striving hard to save an entire village and it's people. He doesn't know any of the villagers personally. Villagers treat him like his son and brother. Many have left smoking and drinking and are participating in the campaign as volunteers.
