Having the 10 years journey of MCU in the screen time of 3 hours, the outcome would be Avengers Endgame. A slow start, perfect timing of comedy, epic climax and a emotional ending. These statements were given by the Russo brothers, directors of the movie Avengers Endgame. Avengers Endgame is a massive success for the Marvel franchise, this movie has collected upto 1.2 billion USD in its first week and then upto 2.6 billion USD ( till 20th May 2019). It is an amazing movie, but most of the the people felt that the movie had a emotional ending. Iron Man is said to be the best defender of the earth and dies at the end. Every phase of his life and a perfect sacrifice was the best way to say goodbye to this character. Let's see the comic book origins of the character.

Iron Man first appeared in the year 1963 in the comic tales of suspense. This character faced many critics saying that this character is a copy of the popular DC character batman, as their background story, theme and even the finishing tag lines were sIimilar( ' I am Iron Man' copy of ' 'Because I am batman'). Stan Lee was the script writer for the Iron Man and he wanted the the character to be Genius, playboy, billionaire and philanthropist, he was successful in making the script according to it. Jack Kirby designed the character according to the script and wanted this to be different from the other characters so he changed the basic layout from simple silver to red and gold combination. Later Iron Man became the founding member of the team Avengers: Earth's mightiest heroes. Later when Marvel sold almost all of its best characters, Kevin Feige realized that the rights of Iron Man were still with MCU, so he decided to start the movie with Jon Favreau as it's director. The main question was the lead role Tony stark. Jon Favreau initially thought of Nicolas cage or Tom Cruise as Tony stark but, both of them were not willing to play a complete C-grade character. The final option director had was Robert Downey Jr. as Jon liked his in the movie" kiss kiss bang bang " as a playboy. Producers were not sure about the collection of the movie as RDJ had a rough history of being a drug addict. But, Jon Favreau was beyond shocked after Watching him as Tony stark because, he felt he was looking at Tony stark not RDJ that he knew. Iron Man came out and gave a kick start to the franchise. Jon didn't knew how right he was by choosing Downey as the lead role. RDJ got all of the fame back to his carrier and he was thankful to the franchise for giving him the opportunity to be a perfect Tony stark.

Robert Downey Jr had a contract for 8yrs as Iron Man but, franchise decided to renew it to 10 years and within short time he was successful in being the most expensive actor for those 2 years. While the IT industry seems to be stagnating at this point of the decade, fresher placements out of engineering colleges still account for a large piece of the cake when it comes to employment. These aren’t only in concentrated areas but their reach is spread out all across the country. With such vast networks of working individuals, it is imperative to expect shuffling of employees where the companies need them the most. With this predicament comes the issue of relocation or transfers to cities which you aren’t familiar with. In an ideal world, you’d fit right in with the crowd without anything lost in translation. But this is India, so the ideal world is a bit far from where we are.

In the real world, expect real world problems. Problems for both, freshers and also the people who’ve been in the industry for a longer period. Here are some things to expect when you’re moving cities for work. Expect differential treatment or diluted prejudice from the locals. It might not be very apparent for them but it can be expected of in some cities. So when I say city, there needs to be some clarification, most MNCs have their offices set up in smaller towns or villages a bit far from the main city, connected either by an interlinked road network or a local train. You can expect a slight inconvenience in finding decent places to stay for a reasonable price as well. Expect a completely different food palette and local customs of having lunch or dinner. Expect a slow start to your social life too if you don’t have friends in the city you are moving to. Investigate on availability of basic amenities like water and electricity along with drainage systems in the surrounding accommodation.

Here’s how you can be prepared to face the new challenge of uprooting yourself,

Visit the city beforehand and get a general idea of the climate and weather of the place. It can play a vital role in deciding your mood or rhetoric towards facing a problem. As mentioned, make sure you know what the water source is, if running water can be expected 24x7, electricity costs among other things. Choose clothing and winter wear after consulting someone from the city you’re moving to, for example, buying expensive sweaters or windbreakers aren’t really a priority in cities like Chennai.

Teach yourself the dark arts of cooking, especially if you’re planning on living alone. If you’re just starting out on that path, you can always bank on boiling up your magi, but non instant food is always appreciated by the human body.

Consult a doctor about pre-existing conditions you might have and buy medicines for the long run, since some drugs and pharmaceuticals are not available everywhere.

Stack up on toiletries as well if that is something you are particular about..

Learn the local language and common phrases for usage. This is vital to not feeling disoriented with the city and its people. Have a friend or a family member teach certain local customs and unsaid gestures pertinent to the new place.

To be honest, no matter how much work or time you put into preparing yourself, a culture shock is inevitable. To have the best possible experience, you have to be a Roman while in Rome. The city will not always bend the knee to your needs, so it’s better if you mold yourself to its conditions and terms. So travel, discover and experiment with the local food and culture. Don’t ever forget your roots though.
"}]
Imagine being asked to stop using anything that's related to Google, Facebook or Amazon. Uh-oh! Our wholesome life on the internet now sounds almost dead, doesn't it? Or if you're fed up to the teeth with all the mess that's going on with your data being handled by Facebook or Google, where would you go? Even in the face of adverse privacy issues surrounding our tech giants, billions of us are still using their services. Does this simply mean we've got nowhere to go?

What's the matter?

Recently, the academics and industry hotshots told the Senate Judiciary committee that the hitch with privacy is the lack of competition between the tech giants. In fact, if one of these tech maestros were to have issues with data privacy, there's no other alternative we could resort to. Well, that's just how high-octane they are now.

A peek into the past:

Over the years, there had been instances concerning our privacy which witnessed movements set off to get people to leave this or that tech platform. But none of these barely even made a dip. In addition, Facebook's Cambridge Analytica scandal had people delete the app. But guess what? It was fewer than 15 million users who stopped using. What do you think it is in front of a 2 billion people who continued to use the social network.

More about the setback:

Moreover, experts claim that the core of privacy issues are nothing but the lack of competition. People do not have a single other alternative, let alone having a wide range of options to go for in the face of a tech glitch. Had there been more of vying between social networks we would've been better off in the fallout against Facebook. Why, you ask? It's simply it's dominance of social media. After all, Facebook also owns it's direct competition, Instagram. (Wow, it really looks like there's no way out.)

Not to mention Google's whopping share of users! It's got the world's most popular mobile operating systems in Android. It's the most sought-after browser in Chrome. And those billions of users it has on Gmail, YouTube, the search engine and more don't necessarily need any talking.

Alternatives:

However, here are some privacy-assured alternatives you could resort to:

Browsers: Brave is one of the most reliant browsers among the other dodgy ones.

E-mail: Proton Mail is an option you could consider as an alternative for Gmail.

Search Engines: DuckDuckGo might sound a little familiar because it's usage is on the rise.

Not surprisingly, the makers of these three companies have claimed to have witnessed some growth, which of course, is no match to the tempo that those tech monsters gain users. But of course, there has to be a reason why they're not on the go so easily like the established ones. Why?

It's now very obvious that the competition we have here is nothing like what we see in other fields. This isn't anything like going to Subway because you didn't like it at the Burger Kings'. We can only credit this to the dominance of the prevalent tech companies. They simply eliminate other options, thereby, leaving us with nowhere to go.
"}]
It's that time of life for me. As a matter of fact, it's going to be that time of life for a whole year. Even imagining it gives me nightmares of intense hardship. Placement drives are on the way and I'm not ready yet. I don't think I'd ever been. Jitters around are just too obvious to sleep on it. I'm scared of thinking about graduating with no offer letter in my bag. I guess everyone in my batch is going through the same. Or maybe it's just me. As I much as I'd love to lie and say, we are all in this together. WE ARE NOT. Because nobody is on the same level. I won't be surprised if there are envy and anxiety among us in the future. Life makes us do stupidest things, sometimes.

Yesterday, I was in a training session for aptitude. It was the last day and the trainer decided to chat with us for a few seconds before bidding goodbye. You know, in order to have somebody's effect on you, there needs to be a rapport between you and that person. He built it within a span of five days. He shared his little stories with us, and it reminded me of my buried rusted principles.

"I don't live very far from here. I wouldn't say just around the corner either. I have been coming to your college by public transport. I take an auto in the morning and today was not any different. I got into an auto along with five other passengers including the driver. He was successfully ready for his first trip, his first income of the day. Nobody could overlook the joy in his eyes. So, we went through the roads with chaos and traffic, and when we were about halfway, the vehicle broke down. It had a puncture. All the passengers grumbled in discontent and got down. Not wasting a second, we took another auto and continued on our journey to meet the requirements of the day. It, then, occurred to me that, the driver did not expect any of it to happen. He was joyed by the fact that he would get his first 50 rupees of the day. For most of us, it might not be a great amount, but for him, it's his hard work. It was an unfortunate situation. He probably took the vehicle to a mechanic to get it repaired. I'm sure he didn't sit and cry over the loss of fifty rupees. If he did, he would never go along with the rest of the day. After getting it repaired, he would start again with new expectations of his earnings, despite a bad start."

This might not be one of those great stories. But its the little ones that actually hold meanings most useful and relatable to us. We might not succeed today. We might not succeed tomorrow. Not even the day after tomorrow. It's not the end of the world. But all the failures test your persistence and in return, they will make you stronger only if you hold on.

I'm not trying to preach but we all know these things. We all know nothing ever comes with ease and one needs work day and night for it. We all post 'Failure is the stepping stone of success' on social media. We all are aware of it. But certain situations bring us to a point where we feel like we are hopeless and that nothing is ever going to work out for us. That's human nature. And that's exactly when you need to step up your game and conquer it. You gotta defeat the opponent that has been dragging you into darkness called insecurity. Do it by standing up again. Try again even if you fall harder.

What have you got to lose? Absolutely, nothing.

As Justin Bieber sang, and I quote, "Whenever you knock me down, I'll not stay on the ground. Pick it up and never say never."

AS BTS rapped and I quote, "The anxiety that comes from the vague realities we face and that we should overcome such anxieties."

No wonder they rose so high in their careers, despite all the hate and criticism. I stan them.
"}]
Alabama: With the world going frenzy over Alabama’s new statute that was passed, women and men from across the globe express their strong opinions, giving rise to public backlash. The law which explicitly banned abortion on all grounds, even in the case of rape and incest, is not surprising to have taken the social media by its foot. Here’s one legit take on the slurred over subtlety we’re failing to see.

Pro-life Vs. Pro-birth

Amidst all the chaos and mayhem, why are we, as humans, failing to recognize that the idea of being ‘pro-birth‘ highly contrasts the idea of being ‘pro-life‘?
Let’s get this straight. No doubt, aborting a fetus is wrong on so many levels of moral grounds if there isn’t a legitimate reason to go for it. But a woman, irrespective of how old she is, cannot be curbed off her rights to abort the baby which she conceived as a result of rape or incest. There can possibly be nothing at all which can beat this highest notch of pathetic construct. Simply, because you cannot force a woman to bear a child of yours by duress. We also can’t deny the fact that for so many teens, abortions are daunting, invasive procedures, yet for those who decide to abort a pregnancy, this is a necessary suffering, albeit in most cases, a relatively painless one.

Consideration of the Aftermath

It’s important to understand that women who are opting to abort their pregnancy in the case of a rape is not going pro-life but are going pro-birth. Why? Simply think of the aftermath that follows. The woman is left all by herself to bear the child and nurture it for the rest of her life, which is not a cakewalk even in the presence of a spouse, let alone going through it all by her own.

Need of the Hour

And if at all those “democratic” countries are to set out some regulations for the nation’s “welfare’, then why don’t the steadfast republicans start thinking about some alternatives? Like laws they could impose to fight back carbon footprint? Or entities as such that are causing climate change. Because now that indeed, is some business they should be concerned about, on a genuine note.

It’s also not okay to silence the voice of women who stand up for their rights by alleging them to be “feminists”. Because that’s not a word used to shun women who fight against prevalent issues. The law is to prosecute the doctors performing the abortion because it’s an apparent felony, punishable by up to 99 years of imprisonment. The same law also spares the rapist with no more than half the severity of the former. And this clearly does not pave way for a healthy, reliable, harmonious picturing of the future.

At the end of the day, it only leaves us to ponder upon one basic question.
What makes us think that it’s alright for one human to enforce laws for another human to abide by, if the ultimate concern is not about making this world a better place for all?
"}]
For a freshman stepping in the college life, it is always a concern about how his/her 'interactions' with the fellow seniors would go. It is said that the way others respond to you reflects the manner in which you present yourself. For a person who is not having any preconceived notions about you, it's your attitude that drives the conversation.

It's true that you can't change yourself overnight, just to get the approval of every other person that you're going to meet. But yes, whoever doesn't synch with your thoughts ought to have a different perspective of life. And that's the best thing to learn from all these interactions. 'Cause the more you know about life, the better you live it.

It's not everyone's cup of tea to smile and acknowledge everything that's put up against them. The sense of being an introvert does surround you at some occasions, if not always. But it's highly unlikely to avoid these interactions, especially when all the activities are student-oriented. You'll be needing their guidance them in all the upcoming college years of yours. So it's better to cut away the feeling of unfamiliarity to ensure a sound tuning between you and them in future.

So some day or the other, you'll need to open up in front of your seniors, if not on day 1. For the aforementioned students, the best route of escape is the following:

1. Agree to whatever the other person is saying.

2. Do not cross-question his/her opinions.

3. Keep your thoughts to yourself.

4. Answer only what's being asked.

5. Do not interpret the situation according to yourself.

And there you go. You're now free to leave. But is that what you've come for in the college, to be submissive to any other guy? Well, that just can't be the apt getaway. As you go on interacting with people, you get to whom what to speak and more importantly, when to speak. That's what will go a long way.

Being an extrovert shouldn't be your first call (just an opinion, mind you). 'Cause the things might seem to go your way but that won't be the actual case. Instead, you'll be soon considered arrogant, self-centred and a 'to-be-ignored' guy. Again, that's what the people will 'consider' but you certainly can't avoid that, can you?

We live in a society where most of our demands and requirements are derived by our surroundings and the people we interact with. So you can't just go outright to have a stand so rigid that you neglect all the other worldly ideas. Being that sort of smart is what the primary objective of college is: To develop who you are and to connect with more of your peers.

The best way to develop such traits in yourself is to learn from seniors, 'cause they have been in your shoes (at least academically) in the past. And more often than not, they can relate with your going-throughs more than anyone else. And they deserve to be thanked for their gratitude.

Thank you Seniors for testing me on your scales,

for letting me explore what I am.

Thank you for cracking me from inside,

so that I can bloom from within and cherish.

Thank you for proving me I am a failure,

and inspire me to evolve like the Sun.

Thank you for drowning me in the valley,

for exalting me to rise above every summit.
"}]

“What’s your biggest regret in life so far?”

“If you could go back and have a re-do of anything in your past, what would it be?”

“What’s that one thing you want to change about yourself?”

Questions of this sought are the ones thrown at us, maybe at times, or maybe quite often. Sometimes it’s just us asking ourselves this question and nobody else. To answer that question, we start going back in time, taking a brisk walk down the memory-lane of our life so far and recollect all things gone wrong and re-live all that pain a little. And we have a LOT of things to answer that question with. A relationship gone wrong or that one choice you made between your parents and your job. Or that trip you took back in college that you could’ve just avoided. Oh, we sure do have a lot of things to regret, don’t we?

“If only I chose this and not that“, “I should have just said YES to him. And maybe my life would’ve been really different now“, and thoughts of this kind start flooding our mind. But what if someone told us that we really don’t have to regret anything in life? What if all those questions like the ones enlisted above don’t have to have an answer at all?

Yes! Why do we need to have regrets? Now you may ask how that’s possible because as humans, we all have surely committed a lot of mistake and that it’s natural to hold regrets for it.

But hey, if not for all those mistakes you committed, you wouldn’t have gotten here. Your mistakes make you. Because intentionally or unintentionally, you do recognize your mistakes and analyze why you did it or what you’re doing it for. And until and unless we have this trait of probing what went wrong and why it did, maybe there’s no reason why you need to linger on to that bad memory or choice.

Let’s say there’s something you have really wanted to do for so long but you know it’s something that’s not completely right. So you never did it. On the other hand, let’s say you went for it but aren’t really happy with the outcome of having done that. Now think about it. Maybe the latter is better than the former for a happening. At least you’ve now got better stories to tell your grandchildren!

Everything you have been so far and everything you have tried for, irrespective of whether you succeeded in it or not, has surely earned you an experience of a life-time. And maybe that small mistake you made is the reason you’re better off now.

Why do we always have to compare our current state of emotional and physical living with a hypothetical situation of how things ‘could be‘ and wished it were the other way around? Maybe what you are now, is the best of who you can be. And of course, when there’s always scope to be better. What’s it that we really have to worry about?

So, let go of all those “regrets” you think are your regrets. You really need not have any regrets at all. Moreover, your choices and decisions you made in the past have been the basis of how much you’ve grown as a person today. Everything of your past is only either a way to feel proud about how far you’ve come or to reassure yourself that no matter what choices you make in the future, you believe they’re only going to do you good.

No regrets. No apologies. Just hope. And pride.
