The main benefit of IEEE membership is connecting with people from around the world, opening our social and cultural possibilities. 

The IEEE slogan is “Networking the World”, and this is not to imply that there is no more important benefit we have known them wants to be the place in the world to think. 

But besides this, an IEEE member, either Professional or Student has the following immediate benefits: 

• Reception monthly Spectrum magazine (Engineering magazine most read in the world). 

• Reception bimonthly journal The Institute. 

• Access to the registration of the 38 technical societies of the IEEE, whose publications and services have student discounts. 

• Access to certain sectors of the IEEE website www.ieee.org that are exclusive to members. 

• Alias e-mail, which has updated weekly check up with antivirus. 

• Membership of society is valid worldwide.

A Student Branch gives students the opportunity to meet and learn from fellow students, as well as faculty members and professionals in the field. An active IEEE Student Branch can be one of the most positive elements in a department offering programs in IEEE designated fields of Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology and others as listed at IEEE Student Branches are established at over 1,500 universities and colleges throughout the world. Student Branch activities offer numerous educational, technical, and professional advantages of IEEE membership through special projects, activities, meetings, tours and field trips.
