The ongoing nationwide lockdown has brought life to a standstill and because of that, a lot of things have changed. Social media is abuzz with how things are different now, people whose work can be done remotely, are working from home, people are finding new ways to be productive, people are spending their time with their loved ones and more. If you are reading this, then you are definitely doing some or the other of the above.

But, all is not completely rosy. There is a huge section of the population that has been affected in a negative way and are bearing the brunt of this lockdown. In such a scenario, if there is one section of the population that has the potential to help these people, it is the student community and this small instance is testimony to that. Akshith Muppidi, a student of CMRIT and a member of the Street Cause chapter from that college, and his team, raised funds to supply groceries to a home for the mentally challenged in Warangal.

A few weeks before the lockdown started, colleges were closed by the government and Akshith, like many students, went back to Warangal, where he hails from. "After the lockdown started, a lot of orphanages, old-age homes and the likes have been suffering due to lack of funds and resources. I came to know of a home for the mentally challenged - Mallikamba Manovikasa Kendram, through a newspaper and that place was facing shortage of groceries and immediately, I called up my team from Street Cause CMRIT and Street Cause EForce and we got into action," explains Akshith.

His team members, especially Adarsh and Likith, raised Rs. 20,000 and Akshith then requested a local wholesale grocery trader to supply Rice, Dal, Oil, etc in bulk. The trader also supported this initiative and gave a discount, including transporting the goods at a low cost.

They got 200 kilograms of rice, 60 kilograms of upma rava, 20 kilos of oil and other necessary items in bulk to last at least a month for the home, which houses 45 mentally challenged children.
"}]

All speaking is public speaking whether to one person or thousands. Really?

Glossophobia or speech anxiety, is the most common fear people have across the globe.

Public speaking is an art, when you are able to convey exactly what you see and what you feel without fear or reluctance to a large audience, it is termed public speaking. A perfect structured piece of information, opinions, feelings or relevant detail when driven to the target group clearly is public speaking. All of you have your own thought process, your own judgment, sometimes it is not really easy to go out there and speak about it to a large group eloquently.

Is the fear of public speaking ingrained into everyone? We are glad to say that is just a myth, public speaking enriches your personal and professional life.

Attend this webinar by Karthikeya Kumar, a Leadership Coach – Life Skill Trainer – Motivational Speaker and learn how to be an effective public speaker.
"}]

A dark action thriller movie ‘Imaikkaa Nodigal (meaning blinkless seconds)’ revolves around how a psycho murderer , Rudra is nabbed by a CBI officer.

txt

Anurag Kashyap plays the role of a psycho-killer who kidnaps the children of high profile people , but then also kills them gorily. And Anjali Vikramadithyan( Nayanthara) is the CBI officer who fights the fight to nab this serial killer. But here’s the twist- Anjail had already killed the psycho killer, Rudra in an encounter in the past and there lies the confusion as for how he might have surfaced again. Through story evidences claim that it’s her brother Dr. Arjun Prabhakar (Atharvaa) who masquerades as the killer. Later knowing that Arjun is being trapped , the hunt begins for Rudra. May be, but when Vikramadityan says “Are you okay, baby?” to Anjail ..... He literally nailed it. The death of Vikramadityan which turns Anjail to wear a mask called "Rudra", is ultimate twist of the movie.

txt

In this movie , Anjali's one dialogue which is the core reason for me to write this article is , the people who witnessed the crime are also as responsible as killers. It's true and May be because of fear or the irresponsiblity ,most of the people wouldn't want to get involved in this type of cases. In this movie they conveyed a message to society that Any person may turn into Rudra when there is no reasonable
Judgement. The law is not to be blamed here. The only thing that were to be blamed are the people who encourages corruption and endulges in the irresponsible behaviour. Because of greed for money or being scared of threats from culprits, people will hide the truths but once we think about being accountable towards the society and people, we wouldn't do that.
According to me if everyone is as strong and responsible as Anjali, the character like Rudra would never exist.
All I call for is to be responsible and accountable towards the society.

txt
