2019 is almost over and as I sit down to write this, which is my penultimate Monday blog of this year, I can’t help but introspect on how the last 356 days have been as far as my life as an entrepreneur goes. What did I achieve in the last one year? Have I been able to overcome all the challenges that the universe has thrown at me? Have I grown and have I become a better person, a better leader?

For starters, I wanted to read at least 12 books in this year as my book reading had come down owing to my schedule over the last couple of years but I did manage to get close to the number I allotted myself. With each book, I learnt something new and I grew just a little bit as a person.

On a personal note, my son turned from 3 to 4 this year and the best part of having a child who is of that age is that they’re very curious about everything and they are rapid learners. But this learning happens gradually and over a period of time and spending time with my son in this year taught me how to be patient and that has helped me achieve other things in 2019.

Professionally, this year was great as stuMagz conducted a massive event in March where we awarded 25 achievers under the age of 25, discovering those talents and presenting them to the world. It was the perfect beginning to fulfilling stuMagz’s goal of identifying and discovering talents. Later I visited London and Dublin as a part of a government delegation and that was also a high-point of 2019.

All of these were one step at a time.

The answer to all the questions in the first paragraph is in the affirmative. How did I do it all? I did several small improvements throughout the year. It is okay to not achieve a goal completely but it is important to take a step towards it every single day. It doesn’t matter how big the step is, just step in the right direction, consistently.
"}]

Nobody is waiting for punishment amendments in judiciary, but for a safe and happy society where women can hold their heads high and walk with pride without being looked down as prey to hunt or being objectified.
It was being said that the 4accused were shot in a firing when they tried to escape and hurt the police and not to serve justice to DR.PRIYANKA, as the judiciary is responsible for the verdict and police are meant to submit proofs and not punish. Maybe the death of accused would prevent them from doing further such acts because if they’re left alive, the inefficiencies in judiciary would either bail or jail them depending on their monetory and political influence. Their death would’ve instilled subconscious fear amongst men which would never let them do such crimes even when not sober, if death was the punishment to every accused.
All of us want to see our world as a safe place for everyone and not just a place where justice is served after all the unrecoverable damage has occured; it requires eradicating the root cause for such crimes rather than protesting for justice after it has caused substantial trauma. Its not only about the rapes that create sensation across the nation, but several unreported scenarios where women are being objectified, cat-called, sexually assaulted and threatened in workplaces by bosses, teachers, relatives and friends.
When a man doesn’t refrain from hurting the women he knows, how can we expect strangers to respect us?
When a man doesn’t learn to respect women in his adolescence, no school can teach him right behavior. The way a person behaves is wholly dependent on his family and societal culture; the way his dad behaves with his mom and the difference in opportunities provided to him and his sister and the way the society has designed its principles to not treat men and women as equals and how men can have an upper hand in everything.
An evolution in the mindset and principles of humanity has to occur to bring in change in this cruel and unhappy world. Its neither a one man show nor a one day protest than can actually eradicate the underlying cause of crime; but with an integrated effort of Government, Judiciary and people, its possible. A man with a warm family, better social interactions and standards of living, along with education ,enough opportunities and who is satisfied with his life will at the least involve in crime. As we see, it’s the uneducated, unsatisfied and people from low economical background commit such crimes because for them sex and cheap liquor is the only source of recreation, which makes them lose their right minds.
So, let’s all come together to make this change happen from upbringing in the family; to Governments that provide minimal education, standards of life and growth opportunities for everyone equally; to judiciary that serves justice not based on the persons influence ;to create a world that is safe, happy, and healthy.

txt
A lazy weekend is something everyone loves, wants and pines for the entire week. I mean, just the possibility of not having to bother about the alarm going off when the sun is just rising and not having to bother about anything except curling up in your favourite blanket in this winter and doing nothing is quite an interesting proposition. It is the second last weekend of 2019 and there are several reasons as to why the last two weekends of 2019 are best if enjoyed in a lazy manner. For starters, colleges have just started with a new semester and these two weeks are definitely gonna be the honey-moon phase of the semester, with Christmas and New Year coming up.

But, while lazing around is fun, you can actually do it in a manner that will refresh and recharge you enough to kickstart the new week with a new vigour and zeal so you can go about achieving what you want to do.

One thing I always do even on a lazy weekend is to have just a few goals to subtly accomplish throughout the day. Be it waking up at a reasonable time, having good food, making a quick to-do list of sorts for the week and to spend some quality time with my loved ones.

So I suggest students to have a few goals, just like this.

Wake up at a reasonable time and just spend the morning in a relaxed manner with your loved ones. This is extremely important for everyone, though we don't realise it. Why is it important? Because we spent the better part of an entire week at college/office, hardly having spoken to our loved ones. So just do this first thing after you wake up.

After this, make sure you have that much needed fun, having spent the entire week working. It might seem strange but I actually plan my lazy weekends sometimes, especially when I want to watch a particular series or finish a book. I set time aside for it over a weekend and finish it.

While all this is on one side, I also ensure that before the day ends, I take time out to make a to-do list of the professional and personal things I have to do over the up coming week and ensure it is productive. Doing this after a relaxed weekend makes it easy as I am already refreshed.
"}]
Less than 10 days are left to bid our goodbye's to 2019, the year had drastic changes to both our day-to-day lives and the society we live in, and no matter how much change the year brought we all can agree on the point that they year passed fast, it feels like the last year's celebrations we just a few days ago.

Apart from the innumerable stories we have to share about 2019, this article is for those who like to look on the brighter side of a new year and are filled with optimistic thoughts to make the year productive right from the start, I am going to add up what I have set as my goals for the year as well, so without any further ado, let us get started.

Ever heard the phrase "if you want to find something, start searching from the same place where you lost it"? our main step involves the same, list out all the resolutions of the previous year you had been procrastinating and start with them. In my case, I had been procrastinating to read books and complete courses I enrolled in.

The next step is to make a to-do list and analyze every month to see your progress. to-do lists can contain small goals to what you've been planning for a long time, books can be maintained to keep a track of all the required goals and tables can be used to fit more content.

Lastly, the important and difficult task is to complete each and every resolution, below are some of my new year resolutions:

1. Read 2-3 books per month

2. Complete a course every 3 months

3. Start cooking to minimize the burden on mother

4. Exercise more

5. Build a strong skill set

6. Travel to at least 3 places

Apart from all the information above the main idea is to sort out your goals or to-do list with a bit of realism and motivation, realism so you stay on the line and not suffer from disappointment and motivation so you complete all goals you've set for yourselves, share your resolutions you have set for coming year in the comment section. with all that said, Good luck with the next year's resolution.

There's so much change both good and bad that we've experienced in this year, so before 2019 ends, let's take a minute to look back on our lives, our experiences and how we've interacted with the world so that you can decide to use these next year to be even better.

That's what New Year’s resolutions are all about, right? Changing yourself for the better. I have a love-hate relationship with 2019; this year was very eventful overall.

The things I love about this year are:

• I started to take writing seriously, and it changed my life. And I am not even joking. The perception towards everything has changed and I started to appreciate things which I always cared less for.

• I started volunteering at various events across different platforms. At an NGO, where we helped the needy. I also worked as a volunteer at events such as Airtel Hyderabad Marathon, Maker Faire, and Comic-con. Working at various levels had a significant effect and helped me in dealing with people.

• I started writing stuff for my college newsletters where my skills are put to test and I enjoy that. This year was wholesome with good memories for the most part.

We are living in a society where everyone is fighting for something or the other. Everyone has a different set of goals, dreams, and ambitions. And every opportunity is key for a productive year. And these opportunities don’t come to us, we must search for work for what we want.

The things which I hated are:

• I got played where I thought I was totally in control of the events.

• I wasted very valuable time and I faced difficult consequences.

• I spent time on things knowing it was a waste of time.

In brief, all I learned in this year is I can multitask with good efficiency, and my capacity to tolerate challenging situations has increased. On the other side of the coin, I had my drawbacks.

We all have this hidden potential in ourselves which we are scared to bring out, but once we let it loose we can we achieve everything we ever wanted.

My resolutions for 2020 are:

1. I will de-clutter my life:

Knowing the necessity of things in our lives is important. And acting accordingly is also a herculean task. So I look forward to this resolution.

2. I will learn a new skill:

Learning is a never-ending process. And I wish to continue learning not only as a resolution but also as a lifestyle.

3. I will be the reason for my happiness:

Having control over life is very hard. And I feel control over life gives control over everything. And happiness in life gives me the motivation to work hard and I want to be the reason for my happiness.

4. I will invest in myself:

The investment in one’s self gives the best return than anything in the world and the margins are higher than ever imagined. So I am going to my everything into this.

5. I will be more grateful:

Appreciating things and being grateful is such a hard task in today’s world. We all are privileged to have a life like this and we give it less credit than it deserves. If you are reading this you are already the most privileged, as you have access to the internet and can read.

As the year is coming to an end it is time for every one of us to introspect about the year and mold ourselves for an eventful year ahead.

And a happy New Year!
"}]
