Ever since we were young, a smile on their face always vanished all our panic and agony .

The warmth of kiss from them always soaked us in ocean of joy.

These moments are precious and valuable than few clusters of cold riches.

The simplicity and profundity of their messages were always reliable and relevant to the situation. The levels of sarcasm and humour they carry with them is unmatchable, twinkling good vibes everywhere around.

Each and every emotion from them portrayed a unique way of loving every individual in family.

Schools taught us morals and ethics but out from those walls they were the real tutors who always insisted us to be on the right path.

If only our eyes saw souls instead of bodies. How different our ideals of beauty would be! Culture, traditions and heritage. What is this all about? It's about an old soul that believes in chivalry, romance and peace spread by love.

From our first steps to their last steps they had long cherished a secret fantasy about our future.

In the recent past, my mom, who’s a teacher has been cheerless while expressing the responses when her students were asked about their grandparents. Few say, they met their grandparents many years ago. Others replied they haven’t met them till date cause they stay in some other cities. My mom then said, “Morale has taken a new hit. When asked what their favorite past time with their grandparents is, the whole pondering goes to vain cause they are clueless about that bonding.”

txt
rich_1566295274352

That discussion for two minutes has thrown me to about 12 years back. As I recall, the only thoughts that flashed in my head were with my grandparents. A blast from past of how every morning I used to wake up and my grandparents were part of each and every step of my routine; when my grandmother used to brush my teeth, while my grandfather used to start ironing my speck white school uniform. As I go to dress up, my granny used to rush into the kitchen, prepare breakfast as my grandpa arranges the table and the side dishes. My grandma and mom used to continue packing my lunch bag. Meantime, grandpa attentively tucks a napkin in my collar before feeding me. He then ties my tie. Just before sending me to the battlefield, he used keenly polish my shoes and wishes me a good day.

txt
rich_1566295274353

Years passed by as I reluctantly stopped myself from being spoon-fed by them. Unlike me, they never stepped back though I shifted out or eventually fell into a hustling routine. Every tiny effort they made to be a part of my life reflected nothing less than unconditional love. They showed or keep showing many forms of their cathartic gestures of love that seem endless to express.

txt
rich_1566295274354

A big shout-out to everyone who never knew the touch of their grandparents. Experience the exclusive relationship where there are no conditions, no expectations and no necessity of thinking about your overloaded schedule. If you do not, you're missing out a lot. Overcome the hesitation that has plagued you for many years and cherish some moments with them filled with unconditional love.
"}]
MY GRANDPARENTS
In the current scenario , we find more of nuclear families and less of joint families. It is saddening that even some of us don’t want our grand – parents to stay with us. Is it right ?
I would say no, it is not right to keep our grand-parents far away from us .There are several reasons why we shouldn’t but the major reason is that we should take care of them as they are old and feeble.Thats what I do- I take care of my grand-parents!
My grandfather, MR. RAGHAVA RAO is a 73 year old man still brimming with as much energy as a teenager. My grandmother, MRS. SUDHA RAGINI is a 72 year old lady who is very much creative. My Grandma is my best – friend in my family. I do a lot many things with her , right from cracking jokes to doing artwork .I help her with daily chores and in cooking. She is the best family member and I share all secrets with her . She is good in making best out of waste and new recipes. I and my Grandmother together try solving puzzles given in the newspapers and we read out stories. My Grandma is very supportive in whatever I do and guides me to do the right things .
My Grandfather worker in the accounts department of HCU and he is a very renouned person . He retired in the year 2006 . He helped the society in various ways like donating blood to the needy, teaching the poor children , donating things to Government schools , etc. He also educated a tea shopkeeper to pass 10th grade and intermediate privately. My Grandfather is a very sensitive man. When I talk to him , he improves my G.K a lot . I like to travel to historical places with my Grandfather as he is a good tourist guide.
I would like to say that our Grandparents do a lot many things for us and we should show gratitude towards them . Also, moments that we share with them are the most memorable ones.

txt
My grandfather was an ordinary-looking man with extra-ordinary qualities and significance. The superhero of my childhood with silver hair and a golden heart. He was the person who carved my character and taught me ethics. I was bought up under his guidance for what I am grateful for today as he had a huge impact on my life.

When I was five years old due to some vulnerable conditions my parents have left me with my grandparents and went to some other place for a year or two. This phase of my life is unforgettable. The care and affection he showered upon me were immense. No winter, no spring, no summer he was always ready to take care of my each and every minute thing.

One incident I want to share is that one day, I was suffering from ear pain and was unable to sleep. It was midnight around 12:30 and was raining cats and dogs but still, my grandpa holding me up in his arms carried me to the house of a nearby doctor in the village knocked his door and was given the medicine as well as ear drops. That great care and love were his.

Tears roll down my cheeks while writing these sentences as he left this world physically five months ago but he is always attached to me emotionally in my heart and my brain. He always wanted to see me in a good position reaching great heights but I'm sure that he is going to bless me from heaven and would definitely feel happy when I make his dream come true.

''If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again''.

So, for this World Senior Citizen's Day(i.e. 21st august 2019) take out some time and give it to your grandparents as at this age their heart really feels to spend some time with you. And definitely, you are going to regret in life when they are no more because you only get to know the value of a person when they leave you.

Grandparents play a prominent role in our lives. Many working parents leave their kids at their grandparents while at work. To these kids, their grandparents are no less than their parents. On that, we can learn a lot from them given their experiences.
There are many kids today who don't appreciate the blessing grandparents are because they think they are too demanding. But are they? I don't think after the hardships of life that they faced they deserve to be taken care of after, I believe they have earned the right.

The relationship between grandparents and a grandchild is a special one. The bond is a sacred one. When I was younger the first person I went to whenever I needed someone was my paternal grandmother. My paternal grandfather, he used to come and pick me up from school every day and it was our time and its specialty cannot be described in words. My maternal grandparents are no less we visit them only on holidays but it is special. My maternal grandmother used to give us the best advice when in need. My maternal grandfather is better than any encyclopedia when it comes to any topic of history.
I lost my maternal grandmother due to cancer when I was a kid but luckily enough I do have quite fond memories of her. I lost my paternal grandfather last year and I still miss him like crazy maybe more than others because I was kinda his favorite.
The time we spend with our grandparents should be cherished because we don't know how long we have with time. If there is someone who could love as much as our parents those are our grandparents. So we must respect them, love them as much as possible

txt
Gravity always pulled Shibin towards space, he was born with curiosity like many of us and knowing how different things function and work is what intrigue’s him.

“I always loved space and found it fascinating”, said Shibin knowing how the earth was formed, learning about different planets the different possibilities its very exciting, he always had an eye to capture beyond what we can see and this sparked his love for astrophotography.

At the age of 16 he started capturing different images and his love for astrophotography only kept increasing.

Astrophotography is not as easy as it sounds but with all the educational resources that is available today the complexity of it is reduced, Shibin says there are a lot of aspects involved to take out a good picture and like any skill it takes time and effort to get exceptional at it, he educates himself by watching different videos.

A lot of people influence him but one person he admires is Peter Mckinnon who is one of the best photographer.

An essential gear for him is using a tripod and zoom lens he also focuses on editing his pictures because its just as important as capturing it.

Grandparents are fun to be around. They spill pearls of wisdom but also fill our lives with an abundance of love and care. The feeling of being around them cannot be described through words. The affection shed by them is unmatched. They share a special bond with me. They not only taught me good habits and moral values, but it also comes to have unlimited fun. My growth was incomplete without them. They've taught me valuable lessons in life. They know very well about life because they suffered the whole life from childhood. After thinking about this topic, I began to realize the importance of knowing more about my relatives. Sometimes a family tree is written for reasons other than just being able to trace your roots.
