There must be times when you look at a person and think, "Damn! She's so good! I wish I could be like her. I'm not even half as good as her." That, friend, right there is a problem.

First of all, it's a great thing that you admire her. You are fortunate if you are surrounded by such people. You are blessed with an opportunity to learn from such people. Now it depends on how you take this opportunity. Wishing to be like that person, it isn't good for you. You need to understand that "you are a unique person, with unique strengths and weaknesses". And you need to respect that. You owe it to yourself to have a self-check. Study yourself. Find out your plus points (everyone has them), and understand your weaknesses (again, everyone has them). Use your strengths to 'upgrade' yourself, and turn your weaknesses into your strengths by persistently working on them. Keep challenging yourself. A day will come when you'll look back and be surprised by how much you have improved. How good you feel about yourself. You'll be proud of yourself.

But yes, admiring that person, and learning from her, that will be a lot beneficial for you. You could approach her, and talk to her. Get to know her. One thing I've realized is that they aren't too different from us. The BIG difference, however, is that they believe in themselves. They have a passion, a DESIRE to improve themselves. To use their potential to the maximum. Now think about it for a moment, honestly, have you ever even 'thought' about this?

It's okay if you haven't. The fact that you aren't where you want to be should be enough motivation. Believe me when I say you have a lot more potential than you can imagine. Believe in yourself. And the best time to do that is now. Get a pen n paper. Visualize your desire, plan your goal, and write it down. Read it aloud every day, and have FAITH.

"Everything is an illusion until it is done!! Just have the courage to believe in your illusion to make it real." -Vyshnavi Panjhazari

It is necessary to have that BURNING DESIRE. That desire to succeed. To be the best version of yourself. Never compare yourself to anyone. Anyone, other than you. Success is when you are better than what you were before. If you have improved yourself, physically, mentally, academically, spiritually, socially, or any 'lly' (hehe), I mean if you have improved yourself in any aspect of your life, and if you are even a fraction better than what you were, say, a month ago, then my friend, I admire you.
"}]
Virtual Reality or VR as it is generally referred to is most hyped technology initially created for gaming is all set to change the way many things work from here on! Let's look at a few things VR would make it's Mark on!

What it is??

Virtual Reality is a simulated environment created using computer technology where we could say the user literally lives in a fantasy world that is created as he immerses himself in it. Besides viewing the user can touch, hear, feel, and even smell things.

How VR differs from AR(AugmentedReality)
is that AR is the result of overlapping of the Digital world and the world we live in whereas VR takes the user to a completely new world that is different from ours.

VR Headset:

VR Headset is the basic instrument needed to experience virtual reality. It's like a thick pair of goggles that go over your eyes. There are different types of VR headsets available in the market. But Basically there are two types of VR headsets.

The smartphone based VR like the Google Cardboard and Samsung hear VR which use a smartphone as a source to experience VR.

The other type are the high-end ones like Oculus rift from Facebook, Vive from HTC,
PlayStation VR from Sony. They need a powerful PC to which they are connected and offer a complete VR experience.

How it works:
In a basic VR like Google Cardboard two lenses are placed in between the source and eyes at an optical distance. It forms an overlapped image from the lenses in front of the user's eyes enabling him to experience the 3-D effects. It is in budget and offers good experience to the first timers. The better is the quality of the lens used, the better you could experience.

A High-end VR is accompanied by a powerful PC to which it is connected to intensify the experience the user gets. These guarantee a very immersive and interactive experience with sharper and smoother moving imagery . These are by far greater than the basic types in terms of quality and hence costs more. These allow you to Move more like you could be at the top of Everest by actually roaming in your balcony ;)

How would it change things:

Gaming:

VR has entirely changed the perspective towards gaming. Playing a game by indulging everything of yourself inside it is something that brings a whole new level of excellence .It will offer a very impressive and immersive experience to the user . VR makes it possible to bring people virtually together and play when they are physically far away. The visual effects, that lively feeling and immersive experience VR brings on the games is most unlikely the stereotypes we play on consoles and mobiles like You could yourself search around for bombs and dismantle a bomb instead of using keys and controls.Seems very cool right ;-)

Films:

VR opens a whole new possibilities in the experience you would get through watching films. Talk about 3-D movies and think of an actual 3-D movie world you can look around in as you see it, looking at the action from different angles and paying attention to whatever you choose to through the 360 degree view.

It's literally roaming around in the Jurassic park while you watch the dinosaurs pass through you. It's very exciting the way it sounds right? ;-)

Visiting Places:

As I told you VR could bring close the people that matter to you the most but are physically apart ,the same way it helps you visit places you couldn't even dream of! Just think looking around the world on Google maps and think how ecstatic it can be if you move around the steep planes, high mountains and breathtaking waterfalls in the world and experience with your own eyes!

VR allows you to remote tours of museums, monuments and estates you couldn't even afford to visit without leaving your living room. super awesome!

Surgeries:

It's better and safer for surgeons in training to perfect Thier techniques on things other than real humans and also better for them to practice on things that aren't just plastic models or people who volunteer their bodies to medical sciences and VR opens a way for them.

As such ,a fully interactive ,accurately modelled specimen, suffering from specific ailments that need surgery to be carried through a VR-interface would make for a lot better trained and better performing surgeons. This is cool!

Space Odyssey and Underwater herald:

Space and ocean beds are the extreme places one could ever visit but are very curious to explore them.A space agency putting cameras over their equipment AMD sending them out to the great black unknown with people on earth navigating through a VR would make space exploration in a way we've never seen before.

The same goes with underwater. Exploring the sea bed from sea weed to swimming along with the great blue whale through a VR interface would be so dope.:-D

Plane simulation:

Pilots already learn using flight simulators and just like the surgeons they could really do with something a lot more immersive and realistic to properly hone their skills. VR is the greatest till they could make use of.It could save a lot of fuel too.

Make sure you play the air simulator next time you grab a VR.
:-)

Improving the life of people:

There are many people out there who aren't capable of leading a normal life. They dream of exploring and experience the wonders of the world too.VR could be the thing that could provide the disabled people with the things they deserve just like normal people. It's a brilliant thing :-)

Grab your headset and experience the virtual world today.

- Ananth ;-)

It has been my longstanding belief than us internet savvy Indians, those of us who dwell in urban settings, are far removed from the struggles of the common Indian citizen. We are the privileged few, the ones who sit in AC rooms, concrete houses, music systems blaring English soft-pop songs that appeal to our emotions, write articles like these from an expensive laptop, which is one laptop among the two or three around our homes.

The majority of India is not the same way.

Yesterday evening, as I walked my customary evening walk through my favourite haunts in the area around my house, I spotted a man, a thin, frail, shaking man begging for food. He looked destitute and ready to collapse at any second. He went to a snack stall and begged for food, when a person took pity on him and bought him a plate of Mirchi Bhajjis and a water bottle to quench his thirst.

The man was so overwhelmed, he sat on the ground and began to cry before eating. Such is the human condition of people in this country. There is such extreme poverty here that it breaks my heart to even witness it.

But that's the thing with all of us, isn't it? We know there is poverty all around us and yet we would be much happier to ignore it and live in our own bubbles, get offended when some foreigner calls India a poor country.

India is poor, plain and simple. Fighting poverty should be our number one priority but our leaders always seem to have a different idea. Of course, the rich irony of me writing this article instead of actually doing something isn't lost upon me at all, but this is all I can do for now, and I sorely wish I knew a method of helping those in need.

The middle class of this country is in a unique position. We are rich enough to avoid and ignore the poverty around us, but not rich enough to completely forget its existence. No, that is the realm of the superrich, the people who live in private villas in gated communities and travel only to posh areas of the city where they might see a beggar or two once or twice in a month.

This has to change, we need to become better than we are.
"}]
Why do you keep on staring on the same old path? History gets made when you're acting like a fool just don't hold it back and run, show what you have got and own it.

If you trust your rebel heart then go ride it into the battle. Don't be afraid to take the road less traveled. May be you'll find obstacles or may be you'll find the road full of gravels just wear your boots and kick up the gravel. What's the thrill in traveling on a fine smooth road? Life starts only when we step out from our comfort zone. The road less traveled could simply mean anything from being your own person to find your own life without the influence of others. First, you need to be your best friend, you got to believe yourself. Even if no one likes you, you need to like yourself. Even if no one loves you, you need to love yourself. In fact, only when you learn to believe in yourself, the world will believe you. While the world is busy with the routine go and explore the unexplored.Who might know, the less traveled path which you have chosen may become the choice for the others. Who's stopping you? Just remember one thing when you don't give up, Life will give it to you.

Put your hands and up and show the world that your one of a kind. Take the road that is less traveled. All inventions and discoveries of the world have come from people who ventured bravely into the unknown. So, throw yourself into the unknown. Make a rebellious move. Take the daring plunge.
"}]
A few days back we have happily hoisted our Tiranga at the Red Fort to celebrate our 70th Independence day. We all know about the massive struggles our dear leaders have gone through to get this freedom. Apart from all these things, there are certain facts that are lesser-known to people.

• The date ‘August 15' was chosen by the Last Viceroy and first Governor General of India Lord Mountbatten as it was the same day in 1945 that Japan surrendered to the Allied Forces at the end of the World War II.

Sarahaha has been a trendsetter. It initially started in iPhones as their technology is way advanced compared to Androids.

Sarahah means 'honesty' in terms of Arabic language. We see our Facebook timelines filled with these things. It is a platform that allows a user to convey feelings their feelings unanimously. The reader will not know who it is. We often see teal coloured pop ups on social media with nicknames that ask others to write about what they feel about you. Earlier, in school days it was in such a way that we took a piece of paper and wrote our names on top and passed to the others. We shed some cold sweat until we get the paper back and when we do, we read the comments carefully and slowly. What each people think bout us. Since now technology is highly advanced and rapid we get arenas like this. And we see people posting the comments with a hashtag. It makes you feel good because you depend upon others viewpoint. The kind of messages we get are downright funny and yet sometimes shrewd and manipulative comments will obviously make you sad as they're like giving a slap on your face. insulting. Good or bad these comments make us strive to be the best version of ourselves. Girls are often targeted on with lewd comments which helps some perperators. They get cold and yet harsh comments on their behaviour, appearance, style etc. Since there are social media predators they tend to login and post all kinds of nonsense on their profile. But it gives you the opportunity to flag a comment if you dont like it. Some people believe feedbacks should be given right away and not indirectly in the form of comments.

Believe it or not, Sarahah is more likely a double edges sword. It has both pros and cons just like anyother object. We use them wisely we got nothing to lose.

1503243973061
txt"}]
Geethika Lingamaneni the person who has her hands in every sector that might be studies or events or as a participant or anything. I really don't know what to write about you. India is a country with alarmingly high suicide numbers, with people between the ages of 15 to 24 being the largest contributors to this sad reality. India accounted for the highest estimated number of suicides in the world back in 2012, according to the World Health Organization. Major reasons for mass suicide in this nation include family problems, relationship trouble, drug abuse, bankruptcy followed by the ghosts of failed examinations. Apart from these, some farcical categories include ideological causes or hero worship, dowry disputes and the list dwindles down in numbers, but never truly ends.

In an age of technology and social connectivity, despite all the innovation and progress, a part of our society still feels left out and devoid of human interaction. This void creates the need for social acceptance and approval from the group, which are basic human instincts. It is how we evolved as a species. Problems like depression stem from this need. Depression in the Indian setting often goes unnoticed or is wadded off. Age old classics such as “stop being a wuss” or “just grow up” have been voiced for generations.

When platforms such as self harm social groups promoting these feelings of disconnect from the society grow, the problems complicate. A new (actually not) piece or a punching bag in the media circle has been the ‘Blue Whale’ shenanigans. This game, made by 21 year old Russian student, for reasons which aren’t yet clear, but from various unconfirmed sources on the internet, a prime motive was to ‘clear the earth of those who didn’t deserve to live’ as one outlet put it. The game isn’t on either the Apple or Google Playstore, nor is it a website. This ‘game’ has grown out of private chat groups and social media circles which exploit young teens into becoming addicted to the scheme of their plans.

In Russia, from where this game spread to the world, the maker has been charged and jailed for his involvement in persuading two teenage girls aged 16 and 15 into committing suicide. The charges however were only valid enough for him to be awarded a 3 year jail sentence, a decision which has left many activists against the proliferation of the game, angry and deflated. The curators or mods in charge of the game and responsible for assigning tasks and confirming their completion, rely on extracting personal information of the victims and threatening serious actions against family members if the player fails to comply with the demands.

Indian media forums have latched on to the hype train surrounding it and used this as a pedestal to push their agenda of refusing any sort of social media or technology to children. Personally, oversight to an extent could solve the problem, but if the child is being pushed into such serious circles of violent conduct, signs have to be more obvious than censoring all forms of internet interaction. Signals can include finding blades in unusual locations, baggy clothing, lack of social interactions, refusal to be at public events and many more. Half baked solution spit balling and whipping up non existential crises can well alarm parents into overreacting with this situation. Investigations on possible relation of the game with suicides have to be thorough and the same precautionary measures have to be followed by those reporting it.

At the same time, children of an impressionable age could well do without searching for this. Refusal or censorship on the topic and maintaining abstinence will only lead to lack of guidance for many. While senior police officers in some places like Kochi have categorically denied the existence of the Blue Whale Challenge, discarding it as an urban legend is careless attitude. Educating, educating and educating some more can sway the odds in favor of saving a few lives that might fall victim to these ideas of self harm.
"}]
Infosys might be going through some troubled times right now, but that doesn't mean the sheer willpower and perseverance of the founder Narayana Murthy can be ignored or dismissed out of hand.

Coming from a privileged family and born in the Kingdom of Mysore, Mr. Murthy hitchhiked Europe, survived a communist regime which starved him for 108 hours and only let him go because he was from India, fought tooth and nail to build and nurture his company and left behind a legacy today that employs many fresh faced new graduates from engineering colleges and teaches them the ways of the corporate software world. All of this because his resolve to become a consummate capitalist burned within him. Indeed, Infosys can only be described as one of the pioneer companies in India that was right where it was supposed to be when in 1991, the Congress government led by PV Narasimha Rao opened the floodgates to it's economy. India's fate, after that day, would never be the same again.

Having established Infosys in 1981 and built his empire for the decades to come, Narayana Murthy's legacy has touched many a lives, nurturing careers and being the spearhead of the Indian IT boom. I've picked 5 life lessons you can learn from him for this article, they are as follows.

1. Simplicity is King:

One thing that has always surprised me about Mr. Murthy is his ability to keep it simple, both in his personal life and his professional one. This is not to say he wasn't ambitious, he had clear cut goals for himself and his company and he never shied away from learning something new. My habit of reading every book I could possibly lay my hands upon came from him, because he spent whatever money he earned on a simple life and a lot of books. Although I wouldn't say I have a simple life, being as privileged I am, I do spent all the money I get on buying books.

Mr. Murthy's no compromise policy when it came to his company and a self-imposed frugal lifestyle is now stuff of legends.
