Recognise your value: <\/b><\/p>A lot of people are, naturally, afraid of what people might think of them if they took to the stage and started speaking, but there is a fundamental flaw with this issue. When you're walking to the stage, instead of being worried about how many people are out there, internalise the fact that all these people want to hear you speak. They're there for a purpose and that purpose might be to hear you or people like you speak on stage, which they will unless you dance around with your pants on your head. You are valuable, your contribution to the crowd even more so. Stand in front of a mirror and read out the speech while maintaining eye-contact with yourself. More often than not, the words you've written can be hard to say with your own voice. Make sure your speech is easy for you first.
