When you're done recoiling in disgust from reading Chetan Bhagat's 'books' and somehow managed to gather the courage to read more books after having completely seared your eyes out, but what to keep it within the country and be exposed to some of the best literature in the world, don't worry, I've got this list for you.

India is - and will remain - a country with plenty of anomalies. English as a language is not our own, yet we adopted it, we shaped it, we even gave it a unique flair that people recognise us with. It is no surprise then that we also mastered it enough to win awards for our books and praise for the stories we told.

Just writing about 5 is a gross injustice to the wealth of literary treasures that exists in the country, especially the ones that came from the country itself, but since time is money and I don't want to overwhelm you guys, this is what we have to work with. Starting with the ever classic...

1. The Guide by R.K. Narayana:

Not very long ago, the associate editor of stuMagz wrote an article about how one never forgets their first R.K. Narayan book. He was right on the money, because if The Guide is your first Narayan book, you will remember his writing style, his flair for simplicity and the honesty in his storytelling quite compelling. Narayan makes, over the course of the book, you care about the characters he's written about in a way that is simple yet so very unique to him. It is a must read for any Indian.

Once, there lived two friends called Amour and Confiance in a village called La Vie. They were inseparable. Their relationship was sweeter than sugar, so to say. They were happy to be together and cherished their unique friendship. Everyone welcomed Amour and Confiance with open arms. Time passed by and their story continued. Amour and Confiance were showered with a lot of respect. The special treatment meted out to the two made them feel happy. One fine day Amour met a stranger called Ego and the two hit it off instantly. Slowly and steadily Amour and Confiance grew apart. Amour wouldn’t tolerate the sight of Confiance but Confiance begged him to respect his sentiments and value their friendship. And then, Amour began to take others for granted. He started to disrespect the ones who respected him, shower abuses on the ones who blessed him, treat with disdain the ones who welcomed him.

To make matters worse, Ego made Amour believe that there was nothing wrong his behaviour and that he was right and everyone around him wrong. Ego’s remarks filled his heart with unexplained pride. Around the same time, Amour and Ego befriended yet another stranger called Jealousy. Whenever Amour tried to introspect about his actions, Ego stopped him from doing so and this continued for a while until Forgiveness walked into their lives. Forgiveness gave Amour a strange peace in his company and helped him find the solace that he so desperately craved for. Gradually Amour began to transform back into being a gentleman, his real self. At the behest of Forgiveness, Amour walked up to all the people he had hurt in the past and begged for mercy. However, he was treated with scorn by the same people who once respected him!

He got the shock of his la vie to know that another stranger called Hate had dethroned his value from their lives and now lived in their hearts. What broke him further was the fact that his friends Ego and Jealousy had swapped sides and were now in cahoots with Hate, all the while relishing the gracious hospitality of his erstwhile hosts! A gush of memories and nostalgia flashed past him and Amour realized how much he missed Confiance! Alas!

Confiance, his soul buddy, was nowhere to be seen. He cried and cringed in pain, but in vain. Confiance was gone and no matter how hard he tried to piece his broken relationship together, he could not. Forgiveness was watching the drama unfold and his heart bled for his dear friend. However, despite Amour’s plight, Forgiveness’s heart was filled with joy, for his friend had mustered the courage to seek pardon! That he felt was a quality exclusive to Amour.

Heart in heart, he was aware that no matter how much Hate, Ego and Jealousy cherish the cordial reception, they cannot beat Amour for his uniqueness and compassion! No amount of consoling was enough to soothe a repenting Amour. However, he extolled to him the worth of regret and mercy, which helped calm Amour a bit. Amour felt a sudden pang of guilt overcome his senses and fear engulf him. Nonetheless, he pushed all his feelings aside to express his gratitude to the friend who had guided him to a beacon light all along.

Needless to say, Amour and Forgiveness lived happily ever after!

If there is something that I've missed, do not forget to leave a comment!
1. 600th Brick In The Wall:
Anil Kumble's stint as a captain for the test series in Australia was marred with controversy, with what the sledge masters could come up with and exceptionally bad luck notwithstanding. However, with Kumble's 400th and 500th wickets coming at home and him poised to take his 600th in Australia, the tension was white hot and fans waited bated breathe. 600 wickets would put him in the same category as Shane Warne and Murlidharan.
Fate decided it would be Andrew Symonds who would be Kumble's 600th victim. Coming in on the 26th, the pitch was merciless to spinners but that didn't stop Kumble from bending it to his will. A slick of the wrist and an edge by Symonds later, the ball flew straight at Rahul Dravid, and we all know Rahul Dravid never drops a catch.
The celebration that followed is still talked about today, 9 years later.

2. Kumble trailed along with MS Dhoni, who was just beginning to make his mark on the team, and made history that day. Pakistan's Worst Nightmare:
Over the years, Indian cricketers have given Pakistan more than a couple of reasons to wake up in cold sweat from a nightmare where the Pakistan team is soundly thrashed. But nothing, not even winning world cups or Sachin Tendulkar's fury filled knock or Rahul Dravid's neutralising energy against Shoaib Akhtar's blistering fast bowling would compare to the sleepless nights Anil Kumble gave the Pakistani side.
February 8, 1999 is a day any lover of this sport will tell you about with a light sparkling in their eyes. The game was set at Feroz Shah Kotla in New Delhi, Saeed Anwar and Shahid Afridi had managed to strike up a partnership as they steadily began to work towards hitting the 420 they needed to win the match. But then came Anil Kumble.
From 101 no loss to 207 all out, Anil Kumble systematically took down each and every Pakistani player with his classic bowling that earned him a place in all our hearts. It was here where he cemented his legacy, it was this match he would be remembered for as long as the sport exists.
Winning the test against Pakistan in 1999 also made another record, for the first time in 26 years, India had beaten Pakistan on home ground. It was the much needed turn in pace for Indian Cricket, as we would go on to dominate our neighbours in the coming decade, culminating in a World Cup win in 2007 and 2011.
A more important record, however, was that nobody has managed to recreate Kumble's record of taking 10 wickets in a single match to this day.

txt
rich_1507651270498
From our childhood, we have been listening from our adults that we need to be successful to live a happy and prosperous life, but did they ever describe what does being successful mean? Some robots are autonomous, some are remote controlled.
Four students from SREC, Vineeth Reddy, Dilip Reddy, Sravan Rao and Prakash, along with their faculty advisor Manoj Chaudhary, have been selected to take part in this prestigious contest that is to be held at Pleasanton, California in April 2018.
"We are taking part in two categories, we have a robot but we need to modify it to suit the competition and right now, we are working on the design of that," explains Prakash, a fourth year student from the college. In the first category, they have to build a robot where it has to carry incremental loads from one point to another, over an uneven terrain. The robot that carries the most, wins. I mixed with them freely. I had intimacy with many students. Some became my bosom friends. I will never forget them in life. I was a good student at the school.
I had come in contact with many teachers. I liked most of them. They mixed freely with us. They treated us as their sons or younger brothers. Some teachers were rather grave. They did not mix so freely with us. Perhaps they thought that if they mixed freely, we would not show respect to them properly. I feel this was a wrong notion. We respected all teachers. We had a good relation with them. I was a good boy at school. So all teachers loved me. They helped me in learning my lessons if I had any difficulty. I am proud to say that I was not beaten or scolded by many teachers in my school life. I always behaved well. I had great respect for our revered Headmaster. He loved us all as his sons. He mixed freely with us. I think this is the reason why he had a great hold on the students. He was an ideal teacher. His influence in shaping my character was great. I am really grateful to him for this.
I was fond of playing football. We had a big playground in front of our school. In the afternoon we played there. Some young teachers also played with us. This free mixing had a good effect on us.
When I was a senior student, I took great interest in the school debating club, in the school fest, in the annual prize-giving ceremony, and in the annual sports. I took part in the dramatic performances and in recitation. Once there was an essay competition. The subject was, “The duty of students in modern India.” Many students competed. I was lucky enough to get the first prize.
Our teachers were interested in our welfare. Encouraged by them we started a Poor Fund. Many students contributed to this fund. Poor boys of the school were helped to buy books or to pay school fees or examination fees. Our teachers encouraged us to start a program for poor. We had annual outings and excursion. Some teachers accompanied us. We then passed the days very happily. I felt this was the most important decision to make at that time. Then I made a list of colleges that could offer me seat based on my rank. That was the time I’ve come across IARE. The first time I’ve seen, it didn’t actually felt so impressive in looks but the people out there were more pleasing. The faculty I’ve interacted with were well-versed and passionate.
Then I’ve made my mind that this is where I’d be spending my next four years of engineering life exploring and educating my very self.
Now I’ve completed my first two months in here and wanted to take you through a trip of what life of a first year student is gonna be like.
On the first day, we’ve been welcomed by our seniors right from the boulevard. My heart was filled with different kinds of emotions and expressions. I was very much excited yet little nervous of what would be awaiting. I’ve told myself to reckon that I would be great.
I’ve shortlisted ten things every first year student would’ve been through or will be.

1) If you’re a fashionista and love being trendy in jeans and T-shirt, you’d have to wait until next year. You’ll have to find your love in formals! And the day comes when there would be no Labs, and buddy that’s your day to be in the attire you’ll love and for me it’s jeans ;)

2) Being a first year student the thing that would be most interesting is the fest. That was by far the best experience I had in the college. Being with seniors and interacting with them was really great. The best thing in the fest would be choosing Mr. and Ms. Fresher. Every student desires to be one of them or even talk and make them friends. But most exciting part would be meeting seniors and adoring them with roses.

3) Coming to academics, C programming is going to be with you all your first year. Treat it your friend or foe you have to bear with it. But trust me…if you’re going to enjoy exploring the uncharted depths of C, you’ll rock this.

4) We’ll be having Labs all days except for a day in a week. So you would enjoy and really have a great experience be it. Still it also has its downside. Actually not really a downside. You’ll have to write Lab worksheets of each Lab which is also helpful in memorizing what you’ve done that day and get a clear understanding.

5) By the time you’ll be acquainted with the college atmosphere and engineering life, you’ll have an everting guest in front of you. And they’re the midterm exams! The midterm examinations are the first exam we face in engineering. As students we all have that shiver on hearing the word ‘exam’, but, this is not the sort of exams we’ve faced. It’s pretty much looks simple but filled with lengthy answers. Trust me all of you will surpass them with ease.

6) Then comes the most interesting class of the whole first year. The SEPD or Student Ethics and Personality Development classes. They are taken by an eminent person Dr. Adapa Rama Rao, a dual PhD holder, an inventor, a mentor and an all source for success of a student. He takes classes, not actually classes but a way of revisiting our ethics and mending ourselves.

7) The worst nightmare for every student would be losing attendance. And in first year every class counts, literally! The administration is going to take attendance for every class. So friends any ideas of bunking, this is not your piece of cake.

8) One of the best parts of being in this institution is having excellent lectures by prominent personalities. You will have them for at least once a month. They’re so accommodating and an encouragement to students to anchor their career ideas and face the ever-changing world. This college offers opportunity for even first year students to take part in various fests and hackathons too. So right from first year you can have a great experience endeavoring various platforms.

9) This very point might itself make some students pretty tense. The seniors play one of the most dramatic roles in life of a freshman. Their interaction for first time will never be forgotten by any student. Seniors of IARE are not the one you find everywhere. They are quite good and some are really adorable ;). Interaction with seniors is ordinary and unactable for every student. So just open up your heart and give away your fears. Use the knowledge of your seniors and take their help when necessary.

10) Well this might be the last one on my list. But it’s quite notable. That’s the IARE Salute! An idea by the seniors, it drives all your creativity and diligence to perform it. It’s quite enjoyable.
Here, I’ve listed out 10 experiences what I’ve been through. You may have even great experience. For me, I’ve Loved some and bore the rest. But they’re going to be part of every IARE student. So you’ll love this experience and enjoy your engineering life.
I present my wishes to all students of IARE, the most dynamic college I’ve seen yet, for an aspiring and promising career.
"}] Published in clg-short-name Waiting for the approval by Admin Terms and conditions Message OK
We say a lot of things, even though we may mean it or may not.they are spoken and forgotten. But those words that are left unsaid, cannot be forgotten. They can neither be uttered nor hidden in the realms of our hearts, making us time bombs ticking to explode any moment!
Hence, some of us speak our mind and lo and behold, there brew misunderstandings, heartbreaks and sometimes heated exchange of words. A solution to the exchange would be a calm discussion to sort out misunderstandings. But what about those words unsaid?

They are bounded in chains in our hearts hoping that the other person finds the key. Now that would just be a mirage in most cases!

In a career spanning a couple of decades, he has bowled, struck and fielded his way into the history books simply on the backs of his fantastic dedication to the sport. I've put together this article to bring to you some of the finest moments from his career.

2. A Ton At The Oval:
I'm not sure if there was anyone who saw this coming. One rainy August day, the 10th if I remember correctly, in 2007, the test match between India and England at the Oval had reached a crucial juncture. Kumble trailed along with MS Dhoni, who was just beginning to make his mark on the team, and made history that day. A hero of the masses, Kumble would go on to stay steadfast in the face of the bowling attack and managed to score his first and only test century as the rest of the team watched the Jumbo become a Jumbo Jet.

3. The aforementioned test between Australia and India in 2008 would prove to be Kumble's last as he announced his retirement midway through the test series. Aged 38 and suffering a finger injury, it seems Kumble realised that he isn't exactly as young as he used to be.
The announcement of the retirement, however, came on the final day of the test and at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in New Delhi, a stadium which had previously made famous for reasons we will get to shortly. Of course, the absolute mad man refused to return to the pavilion, instead continuing to play with a broken jaw which, let me assure you, hurts like a ton of bricks smashing into your face constantly.
Not just that, after India's innings, the much loved spinner came running out to the field again, his face bandaged and secured. It turns out nobody, not even a jaw injury which only gets worse by running, mind you, could keep him from bowling to the West Indies side.

No matter what you think of Anil Kumble, he will remain one of the greatest cricketers this country has produced. In a career spanning a couple of decades, he has bowled, struck and fielded his way into the history books simply on the backs of his fantastic dedication to the sport. I've put together this article to bring to you some of the finest moments from his career.

3. The Retirement Match:

A lot of what Kumble did, happened unexpectedly.

The team made a victory lap, hoisting him on their shoulders, one last time.

4. Injury? What Injury?

In 2002, Anil Kumble took a bouncer by West Indies's bowler Mervyn Dillion right to his jaw, breaking it in the process.

His revenge came in the form of dismissing the legendary West Indies batsman Brian Lara.

This is my first experience going to such events.

So I went to an event called Human Library on 1st October.

The concept behind the event was to have a face to face interaction with people who will be telling their stories and personal life experiences of themselves.

Well human library is being happening all over the world ever since some time now.

This concept firstly introduced by
"RONNI-ABERGEL" in Denmark.
In india it's firstly held at Mumbai and then in Hyderabad and later in Delhi etc. Now this was the second time that was happening in Hyderabad.

I just came across a page through Facebook event.

I read and forwarded it to few of my friends that we need to go here. The event was supposed to happening at a place called "LAMAKAAN" which is a co-working place. But we were late there a bit. But we have the other sessions Too. But by the time we got there a lot of people had gathered but sessions have been started also. I just had a feeling that this isn't going to work , like waiting for a long time to listen to a person.

But as instead of borrowing a book we can borrow a human being for about 30 minutes and hearing about their story of how they have prejudices and their perspective about life in general. There are about 18 titles , each title represents certain prejudices.simply it's all about diversity just how the society is.

So the book i selected is B9 but due to its full i just got to go for B10 and its about the dancing masculus. His name was patruni chidanada sastry. His story was amazing of becoming a classical dancer who is an expert in baratnatyam, kuchipudi, etc.

I just got inspired a lot over there the way he speaks and interacts with as a common friend.

The event was worth it since it's been about 4 Hours anyway but i just loved to be there. I just want to say Harshad(the founder) and the team has done the best in organising such an event in Hyderabad.

And all lot of people had come up with these.

on first Sunday of October,2017 i walked out home with an inspired mind.

that's it. this is what I would like to share.

1507683044557
txt"}]

We see a lot of talented students from many colleges, making not just the college but also the country proud. Four such students from our very own SR Engineering College are now headed to RoboGames 2018, the largest open robot competition in the world.

Considered to be the Olympics of Robotics, RoboGames invites the best minds from around the world to compete in over 50 different events: combat robots, fire-fighters, LEGO bots, hockey bots, walking humanoids, soccer bots, sumo bots, and even androids that do kung-fu.

They are taking part in two categories, Lift and Carry, and Obstacle Run. In the first category, they have to build a robot where it has to carry incremental loads from one point to another, over an uneven terrain. The robot that carries the most, wins. And in the second category, the robot that overcomes various obstacles and reaches the finish line quickest wins.

The four students had earlier taken part in World Robot Olympiad in Delhi and are awaiting the results of it now, "We are hopeful of winning it as our performance was one of the best there," shares Prakash, adding "While we were planning for that, we came across RoboGames and we took part in the online test and got selected for it."

The college is also greatly supporting them by sponsoring it, as he says "The college is taking care of all the finances involved in it, including our travel expenses. We are now working on the design and are planning on building it in a couple of months. It will take about 2 months to design and build and about 15 days to program it."

We wish them the best and hope that they make the country proud!
"}]
It is very pleasant to recollect my school days. I was admitted to class 7th. I passed long three years in the same school. This long period was associated with pleasant memories of various kinds.

My experience:

During this long period of three years, I had come in contact with many students of my own age.

I remember with pleasure those happy days outside the classroom.

Conclusion:

In short, I am glad to say that I passed my school days very happily. Scarcely I had any sad experience.
"}]
After I’m done with my twelfth standard and appeared for engineering entrance exams, I had one huge yet most important job of selecting an engineering college.
