No matter how particular you are about your workout or on-time-sleep schedule, you have some bad eating habits just like everyone else. Here are five ways to help you calm down your craving monsters or simply bad food habits.

1. Have a meal plan:

Planning what to eat or cook each day is a tough task. Everyone enjoys change and variety but that is what breaks the super-strong-enthusiasm in you to stick to healthy eating. Sticking to a proper meal and following it with utter seriousness makes you gain control of overall food intake. If there is no plan, people tend to fall for the delicious mouth-watering treats that are sugar-candy to eye but not so appropriate in terms of health maintenance.

2. Clean your Kitchen:

Did you know that just by being in a messy kitchen makes you carve for food? According to a study, researchers did a live test of craving measures on people which did prove to a maximum amount that a filled-up and messy kitchen makes you want to eat more.

3. Turn off the TV:

You don’t just eat with your eyes focused on your meal but also with your ears. A recent study states that sound of eating food affects our eating habit. These days it has become a trend to watch television or listen to music while eating to probably save on time which does not help you focus on what you eat and how much you eat. People tend to eat extra something as they have their eyes and ears glued to television screens.

4. Change your plate size:

When you eat from a bigger plate you tend to fill it with more food to avoid the food to look smaller than plate size. It sounds stupid but is just a part of natural human nature. Eating from small plate makes you think you have eating a lot even though you haven’t which helps prevent overeating.

5. Find your motivation:

There is always a reason behind cutting out on your favourite junky dishes and follow a not-so-likable diet. It may be an upcoming class reunion, a beach vacation, or a family wedding. The problem arises when these motivations end with a date. Later people jump back to being on normal junky diet and become the same unhealthy person they were prior to that diet. Look for long term motivations that keep you steady and firm on your decision to stay fit and healthy.

January usually means you have started to take in the Semester, and by February, the internals come looming after us in full force. It is neccessary therefore, to have a guideline to study for your exams and understand the things as they are. Now, there are no full-proof methods of study, trust me on this one, something works for some people, some things don't. One of my best friend rote learns her entire psychology course from notes, I need definite concepts, another friend needs guidance through several books to clear up the idea. At the centre of this of course, is the fact that we want to succeed, no matter what, and in these years of studying, I have figured out that certain international methods help me at least in studying. Here are some pointers on how to tackle that monumental syllabus.

1. Brainstorming

There are different forms to this, creating an Evernote profile and relating all your subjects with each other, taking a list of functions that you can link to multiple programmes and use them for example. Drawing diagrams that help in remembering the punchlines of different projects, etc. This is used by almost everyone, from advertisement professionals, to writers. Some basic pointers may be found here.
2. Note Taking (Textbooks)
We tend to forget our textbooks. Trust me, if you ask me what I learnt from Prescott, I would rather eat my shoe than give you an comprehensive answer. However, for Lehninger's Biochemistry and Wastson's Molecular Biology of the Gene, I will be at least be able to recall things. They key? SQ5RT . A simple mechanism, that teaches us the way things are meant to be taught, by answering our questions, and making us investigate. Warning : Your rote learning is still your best bet for Systematics.
3. Note Taking (Lectures)
Cornell introduced me to the Cornell Notes, while a little impractical for Indian environment, it summarises things quite well. Also, its very useful for those long lectures where you would just take down the important points and not the entire thing, take care about what you're asking and link it up with other things.
4. Limits
No, not the Maths one. Take breaks, and don't study something continuously for hours at an end (I did that with transcription, I went semi-mad), it's scary. The stress gets to you and makes you feel very very bad. So, check your time table and study for 1-5 hours a day, and take ample breaks in between. Also, simply don't try to vomit out everything learnt overnight in a paper the next day, trust me, does NOT WORK.
5. Rest
Sleep, you insomaniac generation. Remember your notes in the morning (unless you are in that peculiar pressure zone then only remember your handwash), and try to remember what you learnt the previous day. Don't go through the copy, just summarise in your head.
6. Handwritten notes
OK, seriously, I love my soft copies, most of my work is preserved that way, but, it has been scientifically proven that taking handwritten notes is better for your retention. And this is something you should remember the next time you start taking notes. Also, using different colours is a lovely way to remember

This is just the start, keep experimenting with different things, try and find out the sweet spot that appeals to you and trust me, you will ace the semester. Also, just use the clock and close the internet some times, Whatsapp isn't going to make you pass (it might but, oh well).
"}]

The end of the year is rolling around and we’re all mostly stuck in the grind of exams. For those in their third year, this is a very important phase of college; when resumes need to be built up and ancient topics we had studied in our first and second year must be dredged out again from the abyss of our minds. Whether you’re planning to attend placements or go for higher studies, here are a few things you can do this summer to boost your chances a little.

1. Take an online course

I know that most students are probably tired of hearing this by now, but the value that a certificate from an online course has is insane. It not only shows that you’re proficient in that subject, but also that you care enough to take the initiative to complete the course. This is especially helpful for those looking to change their majors for their M.S. or to do an M.B.A. There are plenty of websites out there like EdX that let you pay for the certificate AFTER you complete the course and get the final grade, so you know what you’re paying for.

2. Work with a startup

Startups are very willing to take on college students to work with them and this experience will look very good on your resume, especially if you’re going for placements. The experience of working in a company- in a team- on real time problems and tasks is invaluable and is best learned at a startup where there are many willing to teach you.

3. Volunteer at an organization

This is really helpful for universities which look at your community service and volunteering history. It shows that you’re a well-rounded individual who genuinely cares about doing good. Since most admission processes in foreign universities are subjective, it really does count towards a lot. You can volunteer with an NGO, with a local youth organisation or even simply at your school or college where they can give you a letter acknowledging your contribution.

4. Work on yourself

While all those definitely help build up your resume, nothing beats a good old spree of learning new things, whether it is learning a new skill like playing the bansuri or going to French classes or learning how to knit your own beanies. None of it will ever go to waste. It’ll all contribute to making you a much more confident and interesting person, which is what the world wants.

So go on, get cracking and let this summer make something more out of you.

"}]

Today i am gonna talk about those 5 days of the month which most of the girls are afraid of.

the 5 painful days during which girls go through a lot.

PERIODS.

Do you know every girl at least once in her life regrets for being a girl, not because of pain which she goes through those 5 days... NAAH

But because of mental wounds which she receives from society. The wounds hurt her till death and which cannot be healed.

she is not allowed to cook food in her own kitchen ..why?

she is not allowed to enter the temples and other holy places.

she is mocked by her colleagues and friends if there is a stain on her clothes

everything ...everything because of this useless society and some so called gyani babas.

why would god stop his own children from entering his home..when god himself gave girls the power to bleed

The adventures of some characters 'a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away'. This is how Star Wars has been described by it's fans and creators alike. Probably no other sci-fi franchise has had such a huge cultural impact on the world other than Star Wars. The first film called 'Episode IV: A New Hope' was released over forty years ago and since then, every single film of the franchise has created records and achieved both critical and commercial success. Several video games, books, theme parks, etc. have also been created based on Star Wars. A series of new Star War films are also in the pipeline for the coming years.

All stories of Star Wars take place in a distant galaxy in the past, where all aliens and humanoids coexist. Space travel, and droids are quite common in their lives. All beings derive their energy from a source called 'The Force', which is an unique force field. Popular phrases like 'May the Force be With You' were taken from this. From pop culture to politics and science, Star Wars has made it's presence felt everywhere. At a time when Hollywood was mostly producing movies with deep drama content, Star Wars was one of the first which ventured into science fiction and their bet paid off handsomely.

George Lucas sure did a fine job with the writing as well. Each one of the characters like Han Solo, Darth Vader, Princess Leia, etc. have their own set of fan followings and fan made films. Star Wars made huge leaps in terms of visuals and graphics at that time. At a poll in the UK, a majority of the people revealed that the religion they followed was 'Jedi' ! Merchandising has also worked wonders for the film's producers and earned them huge revenue. All the above cases prove that Star Wars has indeed created it's space in history as a legendary franchise. George Lucas has left behind a legacy that no one else could have done. May the force be with you!
