I don't think so.

I'm a hardcore comic book fan since I was 5 and though I read a lot of English comics, Indian characters and Indian comics have their own separate palace in my heart. there are a lot of awesome Indian characters in comics and Raj Comics is the largest and most popular there is in India. You may name a few but let's do the naming and let you cross check. 

1) Super Commando Dhruv(Raj comics)

      Batman+Robin=Super Commando Dhruv. Dhruv was born and raised by a couple who used to be performers at a circus but were unfortunately subjected to a conspiracy and killed by a few thugs. Dhruv vowed to fight crime since that day and has never looked back. Super Commando Dhruv does not have any special super powers. He is just a normal human being who fights to make a difference and makes use of cool gadgets and is known to have the ability to use ANYTHING as a weapon.

2)Nagraj(Raj Comics) 

     The name that strikes terror into the hearts of terrorists, Nagraj is the most powerful superhero in the Raj Comics universe. He has the most complex origin story ever.  He has innumerable microscopic snakes living inside him. Snakes range from explosive snakes, ice snakes, fire snakes, snakes as ropes snakes that cut through anything and much more. Ichadari  snakes let him shapeshift to anything/anyone.

3)Doga(Raj Comics)

    Doga is the first Indian comic book Anti-Hero. He was raised in utter poverty and a troubled childhood which made him fight crime at  the lowest level. Street. Doga is a formidable force to reckon with. He can talk to dogs and make them do his bidding. He is the DC equivalent of Deathstroke and Deadpool from that of Marvel.

 4) Lady Shiva(DC Comics)

        Originally a batman villain, Lady Shiva is a mercenary who is an expert martial artist and can read anyone's body language and predict their actions even before they commit any. Lady Shiva has a cult of followers who consider her as a re incarnation of Lord Shiva, the destroyer. She mainly makes use of this band to do her bidding.

5) Spiderman:India(Marvel)

      Pavitr Prabhakar( Peter Parker much?) is an innocent high schooler who happens to come across a yogi who grants him all the powers of a spider which made him Spiderman. He decides to use his powers for the good of mankind after knowing the heroic death of his uncle Bhim. He has to protect his city from the evil forces of Nalin Oberoi. Marvel tries to grab the Indian audience by giving them the very same Spiderman with a bit of Indian masala.
