Here’s why you have to delete Old Online Accounts

 The old accounts as we don’t care and is no longer important to us. Do you think the database will have a record of all the unused accounts? Yes, the database will contain the information whether you use them or not.

  So why delete old accounts?

Recently, major social network ‘Myspace’ hack shook the online community. The online accounts which were not used anymore. The Myspace social network still holds the old users information. Shockingly, there were about 360 million accounts hacked which included celebrity accounts. The dump was around 33 GB and guess what it was also put on sale for thousands of dollars.


Though a lot of them don’t use the older accounts as Twitter and Facebook has changed the way we use the social networks. But, it reminds us that we should delete our old unused accounts.

So what’s the big deal?

So what’s the big deal? I am not a celebrity and I don’t delete the older accounts.So,here comes the problem.The accounts we use on social networks almost has similar usernames and sometimes even passwords.It is hard to remember if you have different usernames for different accounts.This is why it is important for you to delete the old accounts. It is also slightly easy to cut down the number of accounts.  


The outdated data and the information on Myspace were sold online. Not only the current information the older data also has a value. So Stay Safe Online.! Say ‘RIP’ to your old accounts.
