Happy New You!

Dear Reader,

Hey!

It’s that time of the year again. The time when we wish we had snowfall here too, the time we see more of reds and greens everywhere. The time when we look back to see what we did do in 2016 and what we didn’t, what we wished to, but forgot, what we never wanted to but did anyway, how what you thought was impossible turned out to be pretty simple, and how, what was simple is now complex than ever.

It is that time when we remember our forgotten resolutions and make new ones to forget anyway. It is that time when you realize again that TIME has yet again fooled you into thinking you had lots of it when 365 days just flew past you like it was yesterday that you were thinking of ‘new year resolutions’ for 2016. That one YEAR has passed by so fast. Too fast, to know that you aren’t the same person you were 365 days ago. So much has happened, and so little too. You have learned so much yet not much really. 31st December makes you question a lot.

Question yourself and the whole damn world around you.

Question what you learned this year, and what you unlearnt.

Because it's the answers to these questions that transcend into lessons. Lessons that taught you how to be a better YOU. Lessons and losses that didn't leave you disheartened, but made you wise.

It is that time of the year when you feel love all around, as Santa Claus brings gifts to kids all over the globe in the disguise of parents, or I think its vice versa. It's that time of the year when so much has happened, you realize; and so little you remember, you learn.

It’s that time of the year I realized that memory is indeed very weird.

You choose what a memory is and what’s not. You remember what you want to and forget what you don’t.

So, this year, still bewildered at the wonder called Time, let's not remember just the treasures we sought, but also remind ourselves the treasures we've got.

A Happy New Year.

 Yours Truly,

-A fellow Writer/Reader

P.S. Don’t wait for this time of the year again next year, to make "New Year Resolutions" that last more than a week. We make resolutions to Resolute to them, not forget. We make resolutions for the change to a better YOU. So, if it’s better, change NOW. Not, next year, when you think that time has fooled you, yet again.
