Having a conversation with one of my friend who is a teacher and I happen to ask him one question that, what do you think about the education now-a-days and what is your experiencelike being a teacher? His reply to my question was that-
“Being a teacher, I have experienced a lot of things while working in different schools. These days’ parents are trying their best to provide the best education to their children. They are providing them the best school, the best tuition and the best of everything, but the one thing which always strikes my mind is that, whether it is necessary to train these fresh brains in such a typical format. They are always pressurized about percentages, ranks and marks. The small kids of 4 - 5 years are kept under the guidance of a tutor and are being trained in such an environment which they are not even aware of. Why can’t we let them think by their own? The biggest issue which I felt, with most of the parents is that they are so much busy in their own life that they don’t have time to take care of their children. What really is required is that we should let these birds fly by their own and just guide them with love and care. Qualifications and marks don’t define a person’s ability. The things which defines them is their nature and behavior towards someone or something and their approach towards life. The more they will experiment and experience the more they will learn. The only way we can make our future generation more efficient and interested in doing something is by giving them the independence of thought and space. The brain never learns anything forcefully but it always learns when it takes interest to learn something. I can only hope that I’ll be seeing some change in the parent’s mentality in future and we’ll get more creative brains to teach”.
He concluded by saying a very famous line of AMIR KHAN in the movie 3 Idiots – “Kamyab hone ke liye nahi kabil hone ke liye padho, Kamyabi jhak maar k pichhe aayegi.”
